Rare 2005 Jeep Liberty Turbo Diesel with locked engine. Body and transmission are in perfect condition. no scratches, rust spots, or peeling. Personal vehicle with alarm system and aftermarket radio. Back seat has some ink stains (printer cartridge leaked) 2 days before the engine seized. I never looked into getting it cleaned. There are a few coffee spots here and there but there are no tears on any of the seats, doors, or floor. Trail rated 4x4. This thing has the gas mileage of a 4-cylinder, footprint of a V6 and the torque/pulling capacity of a V8. Got about 22mpg (hwy) when running. No modifications.I go back and forth with myself (and wife) on if I should sell or redo the engine. Mechanic told me there wasn't any oil in the engine and that's why it seized up. Didn't see (garage/drive way) or notice (oil light) any oil leak but there was clearly no oil when we looked inside. I did a national search for CRD engines. The lowest engine I found was for $2000 (90k miles) while the highest was $4,700 (36k miles, shipping included). Ebay usually has 1 or 2 listed but you may have a better chance to buy one local. I know there may be some more options but I didn't get that far (see 1st sentence of this paragraph).These are rare birds. If you've read this far then I'm quite sure you have an idea on what I'm taking about. I'm sure I may regret selling it but I won't let it sit in the yard and collect dust which, by the pictures, you can see that's what's starting to happen. Title in hand. Vehicle is for sale locally. I'll get it nice and pretty (and take some more pictures) in a few days. Happy bidding...
