This Chevelle SS 396 screams of the era in which it came from. It is loud at idle and insane over 3800 RPM, aggressive looking, fast and fun to drive. Hate to part with it but it is time to switch gears and get my garage back after 5 years of fun (but only a few thousand miles). Looking for a good home to take care of it into the next decade. Overall, car is a good cruiser and runs and drives well. Last mild restoration/repaint was over a decade ago. Previous owner (a long time friend) redid top half of motor, accessory drive, cooling and suspension 5+ years ago. Recently updated driveline, interior and updated brakes and fuel tank. Car looks good, but paint is showing its age and a few scratches, blemishes exist which I can provide in detail if needed. Vin is 300 Deluxe and SS was available as option and badging appears correct, but no build sheet to verify true SS. Registered as an antique in PA CHASSIS - Upgraded Hotchkiss coil over suspension with adjustable dampers and ride heights all wheels, fully boxed rear arms, Power steering and brakes, updated spindles and front calipers, new fuel tank, Centerline wheels with larger tires. DRIVELINE – Brand New Richmond Super T10 4 speed (still driven under 600 miles) mated to Hurst Shifter, 12 bolt posi rear with Moser integrated cover, 3.30 Ratio – will cruise at highway speeds all day long INTERIOR – Front Bucket seats, carpet/maps good shape, new package tray, 4 point racing belts front seats, new radio with remote and all new speakers, Dash mounted Tachometer, No heat or AC, no horn - just rev engine ENGINE – 1968 block bored to 402, Updated GM Performance heads with stud girdles– (Runs unleaded), aggressive Crane Cam (Grind-HR-306-2S-14 IG), electric MSD ignition, Holley 750 4150, oversized radiator stays cool all day long and twin electric fans, modern pulley system. EXTERIOR - Last repaint over 10 years ago no rain in past decade, solid straight body, few scratches on trunk, rear fenders. Overall paint Good but aged. No wiper arms mounted, but motor works Extras included with car (getting rid of everything) – original rims, caps and mounted tires, Service and chassis manuals, assembly manual, hidden wiper arms, car cover.
