Vehicle Detail

I have a 1968 Dodge 4x4 Power Wagon 'open cab' pick-up for sale. Truck needs a full restoration, but all the parts are intact and easy to upgrade. This vehicle was in Vietnam and was NOT sold in the US at any time, so it is a rare vehicle! A restored 1948 version sold at Jackson-Barrett for $65,000 and that did not have power brakes or synchronized transmissions on it, like this 1968 comes with! The 10,539 mileage is authentic, as this vehicle sat in a Thiland army depot for thirty+ years before Vintage Power Wagons in Iowa brought it and a few others back to America. You can check out the story at vintagepowerwagons.com to confirm. Because of this, and it being garage kept, the truck has never seen road salt. So everything on it just needs sandblasting and repaint! All mechinicals are still sealed and show no signs of wear. EVEN THE MANIFOLD ON THE 230 FLATHEAD STILL HAS PAINT ON IT! As for the motor, it was seized when I bought the vehicle, but after soaking it in a rust breaker, it now turns freely. It would need to be re-built, but again everything is there and in tact. I also purchased an MU-2 winch and PTO unit for this vehicle. They where not standard on this vehicle, but I thought the 10,000lb winch on the front of this rare vehicle would make it even rarer! The unit VPW sold me was only used a few times in it's lifetime and all the mechanicals and the aircraft cable on it are in excellent shape. I have all the military service manuals and technical papers used to service and/or rebuild this vehicle, and any parts not readily available at your local auto parts store can be purchased from VPW at their website! This would be a great parade vehicle and everyday driver with the low miles! Last photo is how it sits now - ready to be shipped! All the original parts are in plastic tubs and I also have all the Army manuals with schematics to completely tear down and rebuild this vehicle. I cannot finish the restore, so I am regrettably letting it go. So serious inquires only!
