My name is Arekluz, I've been restoring cars since 1984. I have a passion for the 1960's era cars & trucks. I am one of the first to get called out to Estate sales and have established many connections over the years to quality classics. I only purchase solid accident free vehicles from there "original" owners and sometimes "2nd owners" depending on there condition and history. I fix what is needed mechanically, I register them, drive them and put them back on the road and enjoy every moment and process. I recently outdid myself with a few big estate purchases and have ran out of room to keep my sedans. So I have decided to let go of three to keep my current projects going. This is a No reserve auction highest bidder will own this '62 Galaxie. This 1962 Ford Galaxie coupe with a straight six and a 3 speed manual on the column is an exception to the purchases I make. A friend of mine that works for the California Highway Patrol impounded this car back in 2008 and gave me a call to pick it up one morning as he does every so often when he has a 1960's car in his possession. This car had been sitting in his storage yard since then, so I don't have much history on it other than what I describe and what you see in the pictures. I have drove this car to work everyday for the past month and it drives smooth. All fees have been paid, the car has been registered, tuned up, new fluids, plugs, cables, points, cap, rotor. new front shocks, new air line hose kit for the rear air shocks and the gas tank was flushed. The car drives nice and smooth and gets a lot of attention. The speedometer and fuel gage do not work but there is a very nice cluster with a clock in the trunk of the car that is included in the sale. (I believe the previous owner was going to replace it). The red interior and white headliner are in nice condition with no tears, the two front side kick panels are missing along with the driver side window crank handle knob and sun visors. (see pic) The exterior is missing two front headlight bezels and driver door handle outer button. Paint is a metallic purple that looks black at night has scratches, nicks and small dents here and there with slight damage to the passenger door (please see pic) but the body of the car is overall nice. There is rust around the roof in front and back along with the hood and some on the driver door. Please see pictures. The rest of the car is solid. Current registration and clear California title. Other than the body work that's needed she is very fun and reliable car to drive. Defiantly a conversation starter. You can fly in and drive her home anywhere in the nation.
