Vehicle Detail
My name is Arekluz, I've been restoring cars since 1984. I have a passion for the 1960's era cars & trucks. I am one of the first to get called out to Estate sales and have established many connections over the years to quality classics. I only purchase solid accident free vehicles from there "original" owners and sometimes "2nd owners" depending on there condition and history. I fix what is needed mechanically, I register them, drive them and put them back on the road and enjoy every moment and process. I recently outdid myself with a few big estate purchases and have ran out of room to keep my sedans. So I have decided to let go of three to keep my current projects going. This 1966 Chrysler Newport Town Sedan is in need of a timing chain, battery and interior work. I purchased this car from the owners sibling roughly two years back. this was a garaged car all its life till the lady parked it in her backyard when the fuel pump went bad in the 90's. I brought it home replaced the fuel pump, all fluids, gas tank flushed, plugs, points, wires, cap, rotor all new. The car ran beautiful at first start, but not for a long (bad timing chain). I turned the car off and it has been sitting in the driveway ever since. I have it registered, insured and on non-op status with a clear title. This car has 80962 original miles, 383 V-8 automatic. The car is Complete with its original paint and a Super Straight body all the way down to the hubcaps with only one rear driver side bottom molding missing (please see picture). It is the rare "Town Sedan" model (has extra glass on both side rear roof pillars, ten window). This is the first time I have listed or attempted to sell a non-running car, but I am a bit overwhelmed with my current projects so this one must go as is. I am starting the auction at $1000 with no reserve and hoping to find that person that will appreciate this rare classic and continue where I left off. The "California Smog Program" will cut me a check for $1500 for this car but I would much rather take a loss then to even consider getting this Beautiful car wrecked. If you are a local buyer I can deliver for the cost of fuel only. If you are an out of state buyer I can help in loading and communicating with your transporter/shipping company. Please ask any and all questions, all I ask is for a little bit of respond time due to the fact I work very long hours everyday. Please take a moment to see my 1962 Ford Galaxie and 1965 Mercury Monterey also for sale. Thank you.
