This truck is for all the Mopar fans that want the absolute best! It’s my 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 Club Cab 4X4 with the indestructible 12 Valve Cummins Turbo Diesel and ultra desirable 5-Speed Transmission. This truck is not a previous ranch/farm truck that was “restored” this is an all original un-restored truck that is a Maryland 1-Owner since day one and always serviced and well kept and currently in phenomenal condition. Read on for a full description. Mechanically this truck is like brand new. Motor starts up smoothly with no smoke or hesitation. No blow by or smoke when warm. Transmission shifts beautifully and clutch feels good, front end is as tight as the day it was new. I just had it through Stringent PA state inspection and we installed two new front rotors and pads, all else was well above state standards. Tires are Firestone with 75% tread and wearing evenly. This truck must have only been used in the summer for hauling the RV to and from the campground because it has absolutely no rust on it, from top to bottom it’s clean. Once again, this truck is unrestored, meaning I did not even spray one ounce of rattle can black on the frame or suspension parts, it’s original and near flawless under there! This truck drives like a dream, motor is strong but it may not be what you expect because it’s a 215 HP non-modified 12 valve (very slow until the turbo boosts) but this is the one for the Dodge Purest that wants one all original, it even has the original exhaust! It drives nice and straight and the brakes stop straight with no pulse or pulling. Go 85 MPH across the country and back, its that good. Cosmetically, I personally don’t think a truck of this vintage gets any better. Very clean and straight truck all around, no previous paintwork or body work performed. I did have to replace the rear bumper because the left side had a small indention and it touched the left rear bed corner under the taillight, I took a close up picture of the “ding” that remains. Not many door dings or chips but please expect some as it is an all original paint 16 year old truck. It has a nice spray in liner. Also all mouldings, glass, chrome all in excellent shape. The interior is the same way, very nice. No funny odors, no stains or rips, he must not have worked this thing at all. All the options work including, power windows and locks, heat and A/C, CD player and cruise also work well. Not often do you find a 1998 12 valve 5-Speed then to find a club cab, 4X4, unmodified, unmolested, wholesome one like this. I will not be sad if I don’t sell this truck because I’m a Mopar fanatic and would love to keep this truck in my collection. I have a clean and clear PA title in hand and ready to sell.
