Vehicle Detail
I will consider all offers and am willing to change the buy it now price if you are a serious buyer. Getting ready to buy a 40's car which is why the Studebaker has to go to a new home. 1964 Commander with power steering in really nice condition. 64,600 miles and counting since I drive it often. Car was painted around 1992 and has held up very well. Currently inspected and on the road. I drive it just about every day and it has never let me down. Not museum quality but a perfect cruise night car or classic car to enjoy a long weekend getaway. I have taken it to many cruise nights and car shows and it always gets lots of compliments. Please refer to the videos above for a much closer examination of the car but I will try to cover everything here. Bidders with 0 feedback will have bids canceled unless they have contacted me before bidding. Please ask any questions before auction ends. I have sold many cars and motorcycles and have worked hard to keep my 100% positive feedback. The car has been described honestly and to the best of my ability. Car is sold with transferable registration (NY did not issue titles to vehicles prior to 1973). Feel free to call or text with any questions. Shane 585-314-199 two. Pros- 1. Paint shines very nicely. A few small chips and tiny dings but overall it presents very well. 2. Interior is great. Seats are mint, no tears or imperfections. 3. Engine runs perfect. No smoke 4. Professionally rebuilt carb installed last week and comes with lifetime warranty from Carb Exchange in California5. New valve cover gaskets, upper and lower cooling hoses, thermostat, chrome outlet, radiator cap, plugs, plug wires. Coolant flushed and oil changed. 6. New muffler 7. Comes with original owners manual and other paperwork. Also car show plaques from early 90's. 8. Tires are fairly new and have lots of tread 9.Needs nothing. This car can literally be driven across country with no worries. 10. Starts first time every time. Idles perfect, great throttle response. Engine temp stays right in the middle no matter how long or fast you are driving the car. 11. Drum brakes work great. 12. All trim is really nice. 13. AM radio with front speaker as well as optional rear speaker. Everything still works. 14. Grill and headlight bezels are in great shape. 15. Charging system works perfect. 16. Transmission work great. Shifts very smooth17. Parking brake works great. 18. Headlights and signal (rear only on this car) work great. Cons- 1. Bumpers are straight and solid but the chrome is rough. 2. Headliner had holes where the grab rails would go. I do not have the grab rails. 3. As shown in the pics the paint has a few spots that show runs or small chips 4. Interior has a musty smell on humid days, smells like your grandparents attic. I was told it was the horse hair stuffing used in the seats. 5. Missing battery tie down. Has a bungee cord holding it down now, works fine. 6. Rear speaker still works but sound quality is horrible. I think the speaker has fallen apart after years in the sun. 7. Front floors have patch panels. Not sure why because the floors seem solid when looking under the car. 8. Sills were replaced sometime in the past and the glass work has some cracks. Still very solid. 9. Dash has a small crack as seen in picture. Also it is lifting up where it meets the windshield. 10. All the window channels on the doors will need to be replaced. Most are missing the felt. Does not leak but wind noise is more than it should be. 11. Engine bay has some rust through as shown in the video. 12. Front and rear windshields seals have rotted away in places. Looks like some silicon has been used to cover leaks in the past. Neither front or rear leaks at all now. One of the pictures shows an example of a bad spot. $500 deposit required within 48 hours of auction end. Complete payment due withing 7 days of auction end. I can store the car for 2 weeks as long as payment has been made. Buyer is responsible for shipping but I will make myself available to meet the shipper to load the car. jaguar hotrod corvette hemi mgb triumph harley vintage classic cuda mercedes bmw healey desoto model belair mopar flathead plymouth edsel buick
