1971 Opel GT 1.9L 4cyl w/ 4 speed manual transmission. This has been an on going restoration that I would say is 60-65% complete. Wrapping up the body work and paint is the last major task. Car is drivable but will need to be trailored due to turn signals removed to start body work. Comes with original hi-comp engine(pulled due to burned oil, rebuildable). Headlights still rotate like normal, all bulbs and wiring in unknown/untested condition. The good: New Interior Engine has been replaced with used unit New brakes including drums/rotors/shoes/calipers/pads/lines/hardware New Weber 32/36 downdraft two barrel carb (jetted up) on 3/4" phenolic carb spacer New MSD ignition box and coil long tube header to glass pack exhaust(sounds awesome) New tires on Enkei 92 style wheels New battery The bad: fuel gauge inop ignition switch carboned up and wont shut car off (have new ignition switch BNIB, extremely common for car) Hood does not latch due to components missing Tall carb air cleaner touching bottom of hood, will need lower profile air cleaner to clear ( < $20 for new) Wheels are dull and could be polished and black inserts repainted The ugly: The body is rough but mostly complete, some rust repair and several dents All glass is good but will need new weatherstripping Rear quarters are rusted but repairable, typical for these cars even though it is a OK/TX car Factory alternator is only 30amps, will include new 105amp GM alternator and bracket Shift boot ugly, have new leather shift boot BNIB Front battery tray rotted out, will include battery relocation wiring kit and battery box $500 deposit via paypal due within 24 hours of auction ending.
