Extremely Rare 1971 Land Rover Series IIB 110 Forward Control Massive amount ($32,000.00) of documented professional restoration carried out within the last 100 miles by North America’s premiere Land-Rover restoration specialists, This is in exceptional condition virtually throughout, and probably one of the very few 110 Forward Controls in all of North America. There are probably as few as six of this vehicle in the USA. This machine has what we believe to be the original engine, with the massive ENV axles and special low-ratio transfer case with double-row helical gears. Carries the original spare tire under the bed and includes the original factory auxiliary fuel tank. Near-total 2.6-litre 6 Cylinder engine rebuild, with fresh and fully-rebuilt cylinder head (with all new valves & guides), all new rod & main bearings, freshly turned crankshaft, and new & correct wiring harness. Also includes: New exhaust system Correct factory fuel pump Rebuilt S.U. carburetter & radiator New door tops Beautifully constructed heavy duty tow hitch Excellent 900 x 16” traction tires on correct original rims Also includes the original hand crank for the engine. The payload of this vehicle is approximately 3,500 pounds, or nearly two tons. The bed is about eight feet long by five feet wide. Both sides and tailgate drop and can come off in about two minutes. The corner posts are also removable, so the vehicle is essentially convertible to a flat bed. Bows & stays for a canvas hood to cover the entire bed are available at extra cost.
