Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1965 Corvette Coupe. I have owned this car just shy of 7 years and know it inside and out, feel free to ask questions. It has always been covered and kept in my heated garage. The entire drive train from the water pump to the exhaust tips has under 200 miles on it. The engine is a Tri-Star aluminum head crate motor, 350 4 bolt main. 375 HP with 410 torque. Hydraulic cam with 510 lift, very streetable. This car never overheats even on the hottest of days. The rear end was professionally rebuilt with 4:11 gears and larger half-shafts. Every U-joint is also new. New clutch, billet flywheel and a Lakewood scatter shield. I rebuilt the clutch / brake pedal assembly and installed new bearings in the steering column. The shifter is a Hurst Competition Plus and is very tight. Solid rust free frame and kick-ups. List of other new parts: Water pump. Fuel pump. All new hoses. Rear shocks. Pinion snubber. Quick Fuel carb. Intake manifold. AN fuel line. HEI Tach Drive distributor. New center console and ashtray assembly. Rocker panels. Allens chambered exhaust system. Inside rear view mirror. VBP adjustable rear struts. I'm sure I am missing a ton of items. The car starts right up, runs great and tracks down the road straight. Power steering and manual brakes that stop very well. The exhaust has a nice rumble without being obnoxious. Lights, turn signals, horn, gauges, power antenna, everything works as should with the exception of the clock. The radio works but sounds like an old radio. Catch a ball game on it and you're fine, forget about hi-fidelity. The windshield wipers work but the solvent squirter does not. I would rate the paint a 7.5 out of 10. I am extremely picky and am also the guy who waxes it and sees every little thing up close. No scratches or major dings, the roof has some crazing. The drivers side dash pad has a crack on the top. I guess that's all the good and the bad. Since this Corvette is nearly 50 years old, I encourage you to inspect it prior to bidding. It is being sold as is and while I have tried to list as much information as possible, there are no warranties existing nor implied. I am retired and can show the car anytime. Keep your expectations realistic and I am certain you will be happy with this car.
