Vehicle Detail

I hate to sell this car, but it has sat in the driveway for almost a year now and I just found out I'm going overseas again in a few weeks for another year. I just can't stand to think of it sitting idle in the driveway. I'm military and have deployed several times recently and the wife just wasn't able to drive it often enough while I was gone. And I just found out this week that I'm going overseas again, this time for 12 months. I haven't been able to get it to fire up. She said she drove it last in December. I just charged the battery and it cranks, but it doesn't fire up. I believe it to be the fuel pump. Normally, you would hear the electric fuel pump turn on when the ignition is on. I no longer hear the buzz from the fuel pump. My best guess is either the fuel pump is bad, or I'm just not getting power to the pump. Like I said, it cranks, but but just doesn't want to fire. The car is solid. Not rot on the body. The paint job is 8+ years old and has some samll areas that I touched up with spray primer prior to my last deployment. Again, not rot. The car is straight and looks bad ass. It sits low, and has reverse leaf springs up front with disc brakes. The reaer is a 10 bolt with drum brakes. Geared high for cruising. I drove it at 70+ mph at about 3ooo rpms. No tire melting power, but it sounded bad ass and cruised awesome on backroads as well a the interstate. It has a high flow water cooler, ad custom radiator to keep it cool. The engine is a 402 chevy. It could use a new dress up kit and some wires to make it look pretty again. The chrome has some surface rust. Same goes for the trim and original 14" Cragar Wheels. They have surface rust. It's a driver, not a 100 point show car. Pictures you are looking at were taken today, not five years ago and accurately shows the car you a re looking at. The fuel tank had a leak when it was filled more than 3/4. I just never filled it up that much. Just wanted to let you know that if you filled the tank, it would have a slow drip. Never really bothered me. It was justone of those things that I figured I'd have the time to get to, but never was able to. I did not build the car myself. I bought the car pretty much as-is about 6 years ago. Feel free to ask questions. I will do my best to answer them. Good luck!On Jul-27-14 at 11:31:31 PDT, seller added the following information: I am going to pay off the car this morning. I will have the bank expedite the title to me. I apologize for not clarifying that in my first description. The ony options it gave me for title status was "Clear, Salvaged, Rebuild". It is not a salvage car or a rebuild. I will pay off the balance of what I owe and have the title shipped to me. If the individual who placed the bid wants to retract their bid due to my innacurate description of the status of the Title, I understand. I don't expect it will take long to receive the Title, but just wanted to let buyers know it will not be arriving the same time as the car. It may take an additional week or two as it needs to be processed. I apologize for any inconvience I may have caused. Local pick up is fine. If you would like to inspect the car personally before the end of the auction, please contact me for availability. Thank againOn Jul-30-14 at 15:58:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Just an update. The car was paid off last Sunday the 27th. The title will be shipped to me and once I have it, I will forward to the winning bidder. I also wanted to let potential buyers know that there are air conditioning parts that go with the car if that is a route you want to take it. It is a Delco motor/pull combination as well as a Russo radiator. There are also some other misc parts that will come with the car, like knock off spinner hubs, hub caps and some other items. Thaks for looking.
