* * This is being re-listed due to a non-paying buyer * * Offered is a 1971 Honda CL450 from my personal collection. This resto-mod is a complete bench to frame I built with no compromise. The bike originated from South Florida and was last registered some 21 years ago. Only 4 miles have been put on this bike since completion. Below is an overview of the project. Build Overview______________________________ Frame, swing arm and mounts all removed, fabricated and media blasted.Hooped the rear section of the frame. All tabs, ears or tags removed and smoothed. High spots and slag were filed.Tiger Drylac Powder, High gloss Black was used on the fabricated and stripped components. Reassembled with updated neck bearings, races and swing arm bushings.Forks removed disassembled, cleaned, inspected and fully polished. Reassembled with new gaiter boots, tube seals, o-rings, caps and fork oil.Front brake caliper was removed, inspected, refinished and overhauled. Replaced all related hardware and installed new organic pads.Stainless front disc assembly. Polished hub hardware.Powdercoated upper tree with Vortex clipons.Vintage, reconditioned head controls with polished levers.Speedometer, clutch and throttle cables all replaced with black housing assemblies.Dropped aluminum headlight bracket, painted bucket, powdercoated ring and vintage style 7" light assembly.Backlit speedometer mounted on custom head bracket.Solid barrel grips with aluminum bar ends. Billit aluminum spot mirror mounted on left side.BCR Fiberglass petrol tank. Lined with Caswell. Guaranteed resistant to standard fuel and alcohol. Aluminum filler cap and new petcocks. BCR fiberglass seat pan, fitted with a black stitched saddle.Recessed tail lamp assembly. Fitted with a sealed LED tail / brake lamp assembly. Tail section comes with both a red lens and color keyed delete. Under pan mounted Gel battery and electronic regulator / rectifier unit.Ignition coils, plugs, ignition wires and boots all replaced.NGK components used along with cloth wrapped wires.Fabricated original aluminum coil perch to accept updated coils.Discarded the condensor and points and fitted a Pamco Electronic ignition / pickup system. Wiring harness pulled, de-loomed, inspected, ohmed and wrapped in black cloth tape. The wiring for the eliminated starter and other circuits were removed. Quick connects were added in the harness to allow for easy future service. Joints sealed with heat shrink throughout.Horn assembly replaced and relocated under the tank channel. Keihin carburetor assemblies removed, cleaned, polished and overhauled with new seals, needles, jets and NOS floats. Machined, polished & hand striped aluminum velocity stacks. Full screens.Baffled up-swept shorty mufflers with DEI wrapped pipes. Clamps, straps, and all attachment hardware is Stainless.Upper jug fins were filed and polished.Cam chain tension and valve clearances all adjusted to manufacturer specs. Adjustable progressive rate rear coil / shock assemblies with new bushings and new polished hardware.Machined engine mounts with stainless hardware.Polished hubs fitted with new bearings and seals.Powdercoated hoops finished with Stainless Buchanan spokes and nipples. Wheels were trued and wrapped with new strips, tubes and Avon V-rated directionals.Bodywork was relentlessly block sanded smothered with DuPont Base/Clear. (99k) The bike comes with a bottle of code correct touch up paint.Hand painted lettering and stripes. 1Shot enamel. NOS foot peg, gearbox lever and kick starter rubbers. Premium materials accompanied by exceptional workmanship allows this Cafe Racer to be a perfect addition to an incomplete collection. This auction is for a turn key bike with proper paperwork. Clean open Florida title and 2 sets of keys. Please note (local buyers) that due to prior obligations with a photographer the bike will not be able to be released until 07/31/14. No additional miles will be put on the bike during this time. Deposit of $500 will secure the bike and the balance will not be due until release / pick up. Due to clearing delays and previous fraud attempts I unfortunately cannot accept any type of bank drafts or checks including cashiers checks. Immediate non-refundable PayPal deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of auction close. Shipping:I am happy to handle all shipping arrangements. I will prepare and coordinate shipping to anywhere within the lower 48 states. Buyer will be responsible for all transportation costs. I am located in South Carolina and will be able to give you an exact shipping quote if you ask. Worst case cost scenario is delivery to California which will run $765 and that includes $12,000 of accident coverage. Typically the closer you are the less expensive it will be. I am also happy to facilitate International port to port shipping as well. I will just need to know the Country and name of desired port you would want to pick up from. Shipping past the destination port will be up to the buyer.
