Private Seller offers a One Owner Special Ordered 1983 Mercedes 300 Turbo Diesel. This Mercedes is definitely one of the cleanest and most unique cars currently on the market. This piece of history was special ordered in Midnight Blue and beautifully complimented with a Palomino Leather interior, not MB-Tex Vinyl. Car has a tasteful hand painted Red and Tan era correct pinstripe to accent the bodyline. Engine is like new, with 146,000 well kept miles it runs perfectly. Starts right up even on a cold start, which is a tell tale sign of a well-maintained car. Engine Compartment is exceptionally clean and dry. Amazingly the car still has the original Cosmoline Protective Finish on all of the fuel lines, bolts, and throttle assembly. Transmission shifts properly and smoothly with great timing through the gears. Car handles great, no steering slack, very tight ride that grips the road. Garage kept for its entirety, The Paint is 100% all original and the condition is phenomenal. Not faded or oxidized and has a deep luster to all the panels. There are a few minor blemishes, but nothing truly noteworthy considering the originality and age of the paint. The Chrome on the Grill along with the front and back bumper is perfect, no pitting or oxidation and has the expected mirror shine. Plastic Moldings on the door along with the bumper strips are pristine, no chipping, cracking or fading. The Anodized Aluminum trim that runs along the windows of the car is also in great condition. Trunk is very clean and has the original unused factory spare (still has the orange sticker from the factory). Headlights and Headlight casings are perfect with no cracks, fading or oxidation. Car still has the original factory sticker in the windshield along with the original pre-inspection sticker from the dealership in the doorjamb. The optional power sunroof functions perfectly, moving from open position to closed smoothly. The interior is stunningly clean. What's truly amazing about this car is that it was special ordered with a Palomino Leather Interior, not an MB-tex interior, making it very rare. Seats are in great condition. No rips or tears. Leather is not cracked or sun faded. The padding in the seat has retained its original shape and comfort. The springs are still in good condition, so it doesn't feel like your sinking into the seats. Headliner is superb. It's still taught and has good coloration. No tears or holes anywhere. Door panels are in great condition for their age. Door Panel pockets are great condition, good coloration, no cracks. The dashboard is in amazing condition as well. There are absolutely no cracks in the dash, no sun damage etc. The Zebrano Wood that runs along the dashboard and the console wood is in great condition, still very shiny and has sun damage, cracks, or flaking of any sort. Steering wheel is flawless, still has the original gripping, with no twisting or slack. Instrument cluster is clear, all gauges work, and all the needles still have their original orange color. All windows function properly, and go up and down smoothly. All vacuum door-locks work perfectly, along with locks in the trunk and gas door. Radio and speakers are exceptional. The original Becker Radio works perfectly. All Speakers work and are crisp and clear, no static or distortion. Air Conditioning System functions like new, blows ice cold, defroster works, heat works etc. All the glass on the car is perfect, not a single chip or crack. 100% Rust Free.
