1973 XR-7 Mercury Cougar Convertible This is a unmolested all original vintage XR-7 Mercury Cougar. Good condition original cougar that starts, runs and drives. Power steering, windows, brakes, and convertible top, all in good working order. Automatic transmission has 75, 000 miles; this car runs too well for the odometer to have turned, I believe this is the original mileage, me being the 3rd owner. Will not take much to restore this vehicle back to original condition; I am supplying detailed photos of all and any damage this car has. Cougar comes with a 351 Cleveland engine that starts and runs great and burns no oil, transmission is in very good condition with no leaks or repairs needed. Cougar needs some body work with rust spots around wheel, rear bumper damage. All turn signals flash and lights work, air conditioner needs gas but works. Seats are all original cougar vinyl seats that are in fair condition, no problem with rear seat, comes with full factory instrument cluster including tach and working 8 track stereo. Undercarriage shows normal with no visible rusted through damage. Convertible top operates extremely well and is in very good working condition. Firestone steel belted radial tires are in like new condition including all original factory hub caps. Cougar is absolutely drivable, does not over heat and should easily make a drive to wherever you need to take it. Air conditioner is hooked up but does not work.
