1924 Packard 143 Touring Car.1St Series 7 Passenger . This Car is a Wonderful Driving vehicle! You can drive this Packard anywhere and never worry about dependability. It runs and drives like new. This car has matching numbers on all parts! Completely Re-Built original Straight 8 motor- New babbit mains and rod bearings New Pistons +.020 and new wrist pins Re ground Crankshaft -.010 All New Valve springs and New stainless steel exhaust valves Re-ground oil pump gears and housing- maintains 35 psi oil pressure constantly. Full flow oil filter system neatly tucked under the splash pans. NOS Brass water jacket and a new water pump shaft, nut and packing Re-surfaced original exhaust manifold and a new stainless steel exhaust system and heat shield and original splash pans on both sides. The Paint is still in very good condition. It is an older paint job but still shines up and looks great. It has a small dent and a scratch on the passenger side of the cowl. I didn't get a pic of it, but I can send a close up if you are interested. The Leather upholstery is in very good condition through out the entire car. Brand new Top and Top Boot upholstery made from Stay-Fast fabric. Also comes with a new Full Tonneau cover that covers from the windshield to the rear of the back seat. 4 New Oak Top Bows Complete set of original side curtains. Excellent wood in the entire body. No rust on the body or rot on any of the wood -EVER! All the doors fit flawlessly and close with a solid click, no need to slam them to get them to shut. Fresh Paint on the rims with new cadmium plated lock rings. The tires still have 90-95% tread on them. The radiator is in good shape with no leaks and the chrome on the radiator shell is very good. Front and rear bumpers with new chrome on the front bumper. The car has been completely re-wired to operate on 12v including late model fuse panel. It has new Halogen headlight bulbs with new reflectors. Original Stop light and turn signals with LED tail and stop lights Beautifully re-finished Walnut steering wheel and 2 rearview mirrors. New driveshaft with all new U-joints New high speed gear ratio ring and pinion in the rear end. The speedometer has been re-geared to show the correct MPH. Rear axle is a later year unit. The original complete rear axle is included with the car if buyer wants it. New axle shafts and all new carrier bearings. All new brake shoes- front and rear. Gas tank has been chemically cleaned inside-out and is in excellent condition. There is no coating inside the gas tank. It also has a 12V fuel pump in the tank. This car is really one you can buy it and drive it home, no matter where you live. Truly an incredible touring car with all the style and grace of a Packard.
