I am selling a rare 1988 Honda NX250 with only 5855 miles. I purchased this bike in 2007 to ride local fire tower and logging trails of Blue Ridge Mountains. However, never took off-road, not even once. I am collector, and I spend too much time with my street bikes. The NX250 was only made 1988-1990 and is a very rare bike, with cult status. Rarely does one come up for sale. Condition is very good/excellent. Body and fairings are excellent, with only one small small scuff on left fairing, shown in photo. As far as I know, I am second owner and first owner took great care. I paid $921 for service performed in 2012 by Honda Dealer, including cleaning and rebuilding carburetor, flushing and cleaning fuel tank, valve adjustments, flush and bleed brake system, and flush cooling system. State inspection in 2013-2013, but I have not renewed for 2014 due to travel and not using the bike. Always stored in climate controlled garage, hooked up to battery tender. More photos available for serious inquiries. Location is near Luray, VA, maybe 30-45 minutes from I-81. I am selling only because I am buying some more bikes and need space. Otherwise, I would keep this bike for years. No exceptions, but I can make arrangements for someone to assist with bike pick-up after Monday, if necessary. I drove the bike for about 30 miles yesterday to make sure all is OK, and the bike runs great. The sweet spot is around 55-60 mph, and it is very stable and agile. A real joy to ride. The bike is really special, and I regret selling it: 26 hp, a very accessible 32 inch seat height, only 260 pounds, and a great power train. I was at a Honda dealership today to have new tires put on my CBR600, and nothing in the dealership was like this bike. Please note, however, that this bike is not showroom mint. It is in excellent condition, but while cleaning today, I saw some light scratches and scuffs here and there. Overall it is very good and no cracked body or fairing parts. Some rubber is hazed due to age. Incredibly, I only put 50 miles on the bike since I bought in 2007, which is why I had a Honda dealer perform the extensive service in 2012. Too many bikes and too little time. The bike is in the same condition as when I bought it, and it is now time for a new owner to take over the bike.
