I am listing my 2004 jeep rubicon. I really thought I was going to go back up to the mountains more, but my youngest daughter is to busy, and my oldest informed us we have a wedding to pay for!! Oh well. I looked for a long time to find one that wasn't torn to shreds and beat inside out. The miles didn't scare me, as I took it in to a 4x4 shop, and they said it was really really well cared for in the past, and undercarrige was clean. Just needed an alignment, tires, and new sway bars.... All which I took care of. Seems like everyone with an 03-06 rubicon wanted $13,000 plus no matter what shape. I looked at some with 120,000 miles for $13,000, then thought it would probably need service, or odds and ends like most. This had most all of the items fixed and maintained, even saw some that had rust through the fenders already!! I wanted an 04, as most all the forums said it was probably the best tj rubicon, as the 03's were the 1st getting bugs worked out, and 05-06, some had an oil pump systems failure, and Chrysler reprogrammed these years, not sure what, but most liked the 04? Any ways this is what I am selling. The jeep runs excellent, like new, very strong. The transmission, the nv3550 is probably the best 5 speed jeep made, and it shifts good, with a nice clutch, good solid feel. This has the nvg241or rock trac transfer case. The best jeep had ever built with the 4:1 ratio. This thing crawls!!!Team that up with the 4:10 gears, and the full lockers, this is a great 4 wheeler, mannered very well for a daily driver. The tires have less than 50 miles on them, and are a 265-75-16 all terrain tire that ride great! I wanted tall, and not sticking out to throw mud and snow all over. The jeep has the factory 4 wheel disc brakes on he factory rubicon only Dana 44's. A great almost bullet proof drivetrain, teamed to the fantastic 4.0 engine, which is stock, other than a filter change. These engines go the distance as in power and reliability.. The jeep also has a 2.5" rough country lift. The lockers work just as they should, and lights up the dash. This is really a crawler low 1st gear locked!!The body is clean, with a small rub, scrape on bottom of passenger door as shown. Can really only tell at an angle or when the light hits it. I just want to be upfront on the small things, as that's why I don't get top dollar, but tell everyone the issues, so it's not some surprise like 90% of them on ebay with a 2 line description. The hood has some crow footing on it, as I had a 2000 Sahara black same issue, I have seen a few other black tj with factory paint seems common. Has the factory hardtop with all tinted glass. I also have a black full soft top for it, but have never had it on, but is included.The interior is grey and in nice condition. All options- power steering, power disc brakes, cruise, tilt, ice cold a/c am/fm cd stereo with factory upgraded sub woofer in console, factory mirror with compass and temp, rear defrost, rear wiper-- just a lot of nice factory options. This jeep will be a great deal for someone. I would drive it anywhere, as it's well cared for and solid with a clean undercarriage. Don let the miles fool you, as it seems like a jeep with 74,000 miles. The ac blows colder than any other car I own. Good solid highway driver. The 4 wheel shop said the front end was in great shape, installed new jks sway bar disconnects, and did an alignment. No other issues. I was even looking at a 1997 4 cylinder with 130,000 miles on it, and they were asking $7500.00 for it!! A 97 4 cylinder. Why not get the best with everything on it, priced like a 4 cylinder.
