Guten Tag, For your consideration is a 1979 VW Beetle Convertible. One of the very last VW Beetles built and imported to the U.S. 1979 was the last year and this one was built in December 1979. Engine is completely original, with original fuel injection system intact and working very well. This VW Beetle is in overall excellent condition. Drives great, brakes well, and the engine has plenty of power. Faithfully restored by German with an eye for detail and preference for original German parts. One of the best original color combinations. This vehicle has never been in a collision. Painted in the original Florida Blue, with three coats of clear using quality DuPont products. It has a very deep depth of shine, and the paint job will last many years. The fenders, doors, and so on were removed in the paint processes. Also painted were the trunk, interior, wheel wells, and even under the fenders to give the owner an appreciation of the appearance it would have had when new. Interior has been completely refurbished to original standards. New seat upholstery, carpet, and seat padding replaced with the original style coconut hair padding. New vinyl convertible top, headliner, rubber seals...many new parts. Odometer reads 42,916. The engine is very spirited and runs strong. Having the original fuel injection system makes this car very reliable to drive. Mechanically excellent, the vehicle having been thoroughly refitted with new brakes, exhaust, suspension springs. Includes new IPOD/IPHONE/USB ready stereo system. The brand of stereo is a Blaupunkt, which is period correct, to uphold the heritage. The vehicle is also pre-wired for rear speakers.
