Vehicle Detail

1974 Porsche 911 for bids that spent basically it's entire life in North Carolina until about 6 months ago. The car was originally a metallic blue color and was repainted about 8 years ago to Guards Red. It has the originally matching numbers engine and transmission in the car that still fires up and runs smooth through all 4 gears. Since purchasing the car I have spend roughly 6k on engine and interior work. I have a $3800 receipt that will go with car that a Porsche specialists in Louisville KY did on the recent mechanical work including (new alternator, 3 mail oil lines replaced, belts, hoses, spark plugs, tune up, oil thermostat, etc). The front 2 seats have been reupholstered along with the headliner and rear window vinyl area, carpet in trunk also replaced...rear seats are still in good shape as well as the interior carpet. Overall the exterior is in good shape, paint as a great shine to it but is an older paint job so not perfect (pictures of defects). The car is overall pretty rust free, there is one area under the passenger floor board that will need attention at some point (about the size of a tennis ball that is coming through, pics taken on this). I want the buyer to be aware of everything so this is a list of the things the car will need- Tires are older Pirelli and have a lot of tread but some dry rot, door panels on driver and passenger side are aftermarket and need handles, also have new window cranks ordered so will include with purchase, sun visors need to be installed but have those as well, tachometer doesn't work, odometer quiet working at 99,281 about 2-3 years ago according to previous owner, needs a rear deck latch (male piece), rear seats wont stay up so need the straps put in, will probably need break pads and rotors at some point. Also there is a slow oil leak coming from the timing chain cover area that trips onto the exhaust/manifold on driver side which causes burning oil smell and smoke that will need to be addressed (again this will need to be the 1st thing looked at, thought it was fixed when has everything else mechanically worked on and has since started again). Overall this is a great older Porsche that is a driver quality and doesn't need a lot to get it where it needs to be! The car is being sold as is so please ask any question before bidding and realize that this is an old car (and a Porsche that has the normal leaks, squeaks etc that they all do). I am going to give my cell phone that you can text or call with questions as well. I will answer any and all to the best of my knowledge. Also uploading a video of a walk around and start up of car and general overview). Will work with buyer on shipping arrangements as needed. Again please don't bid before knowing what you are buying and without asking questions (don't have expectation the car is perfect because it is not). I have great feedback and long timer ebayer!
