Vehicle Detail
Car has only had two owners since 1982. The first owner garaged the car and cared well for it the first 26 years and 69,000 miles in the Chicago area. Car has very little rust due to Ziebart rust treatment when new and excellent care since. Second owner purchased the car in November of 2008. During the first year the car received extensive rebuild work before becoming the daily driver for a mother of 5. New springs and shocks front and rear. Front springs are much stiffer than stock but same ride height. Rear springs are Moog cargo coils. Gas shocks front and rear. New 1-1/4" front sway bar with urethane bushings and end link bushings. New rear transmission cross member to enable dual exhausts. New dual exhaust system. ARP stud kit and new head gaskets. ARP harmonic balancer bolt. New ARP crank main cap bolts. New oil pump. All new engine gaskets. New water pump. New alternator. Hella H4 and H1 headlight replacements. Transmission shift kit, transmission oil cooler, aux. transmission filter. New headliner. Rebuilt fuel injection pump. After market water separator and fuel filter with heater. New snow tires shown in photo mounted on original steel wheels. Car also comes with a full set of aluminum wheels with mounted and balanced street tires that are also in excellent condition. Paint, carpet, and upholstery are all factory original. 27mpg highway, 21mpg city. The last upgrade was December of 2013 when the car received a special aftermarket torque converter specifically for diesel use. A great improvement over the original GM item. Car has been replaced with a 2013 Ford 12 passenger van. The transmission will not shift into reverse currently (not an unusual problem for a stock 200R4). It is time for a competent shop to do a rebuild with aftermarket parts that would give a solid 200,000 miles of transmission life. The the car will be ready for another family to drive it for many years to come.
