1980 Corvette. My Hubby bought this Vette at a classic car restoration shop that was over it's head and liquidated close to 100 cars at a public auction. The car was from Colorado and we were told it had a theft insurance claim however we cannot prove that but it is a rebuilt / salvage title. It appears as the restoration shop had removed the hood & redid the engine. It now has a Holley 4-bbl carb and Edlebrock valve covers and air cleaner. The hood hinge is on the passenger side but the drivers side is not attached. It has raised white letter BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires that still had the blue coating over the lettering when we bought the car in September. It has a Muncie 4-speed transmission, however the shifter fingers are out of place and the console is loose like they were going to try to fix it and that's as far as they got. The drivers door rod is loose and will not open. The car needs paint, the carpet is faded. It needs a battery! I had a friend take a battery out of another car and she fired right up! The driver side window goes up & down but we didn't try the passenger side or anything else.. we just wanted to make sure the engine runs and it does. It has mirrored T-Tops. Underneath the car is solid, only some surface rust on the exhaust. Body panels are good but again needs paint. Glass is good, no cracks. There's really not much more I know about the car. Hubby wanted the car but he is working full time and hasn't done anything with it so it's time for this Vette to go to a new home where someone can put her back on the road! I'm listing this Vette starting at a restoration / parts car price with NO RESERVE! Hard to find a 1980 Corvette 4-speed! This vehicle is listed locally and the auction may end at any time.
