In 2006 I purchased this 1946 Chevrolet 3/4 ton Pickup from the third owner. It was a Father/Son restoration project. The frame was stripped sown and sandblasted, prepped, primed and painted. The undercarriage has been sprayed with weather proofing. The cab has been insulated for a quieter ride. The bed was re-done with Oak boards and just sanded and refinished with linseed oil. The motor was replaced with a Chevy 350 coupled to an automatic 700 R-4 transmission. Cooling system works great with an electric radiator fan and a new thermostat installed. Also has an HEI distributor with new cap, rotor and module. I am including a brand new Edelbrock intake manifold along with the purchase (I have not had time to install, not that it needs it but I just wanted to increase performance). The Quadrajet carburetor has been rebuilt with an automatic, electric choke installed. A modern reverse lock out shifter was found that matched the style and look of the original. The front independent suspension/power brakes from a '78 Chevy Silverado bolted right onto the frame so no modifications were needed. I have also just installed a new master brake cylinder. A 3/4 ton rear end out of an '86 Chevy bolted under the rear. The all steel body and fenders have no rust after sandblasting, prep, primer and finish coat. The body is not perfect. There are a few dings and dents in the running boards, fenders and in the bed. The truck was completely re-wired using painless wiring harness. Tilt steering with power steering added and a newly rebuilt steering box. The original seat has been re-built and recovered in a tan cloth. The windshield crank has been rebuilt and cranks out the front windshield quite smoothly. There is a new windshield wiper motor and blade on the drivers side. A D/C interior fan has been installed to keep the cab cool. The interior is easily an 8 out of 10. All dash gauges work with good interior lights. Four new white walled tires were just installed with chrome 15" rims and baby moon hub caps. There is a rear bumper that will be included but not installed. It is a custom tube shape bumper with a hitch ball for towing. The current installed receiver hitch is not included with the purchase. The steering column has a turn signal lever with two new chrome, rear turning, glass lens lights and brackets. There is a new battery and good spare tire with cover. I am selling due to too many other projects. I have enjoyed driving this truck and know whoever purchases it will be very pleased.
