Up for auction is a real nice Datsun 280Z survivor. It has some surface rust in the under carrige This car has been in the family since the late 80's. It was started often. Install a rebuild engine in 1991 and also changed the clutch then and removed the four speed tranny that revved high on the freeway and replaced it with a five speed transmission. Then it just sat there and my brother in-law lost interest. Since I always helped him fix it he offer it to my son and we purchased it with plans of restoring it but my son lost interest when he purchased a newer. I'd like to keep it but I don't have the time and money to continue restoring it... Since we got it, we install new battery. had both seats professionally recover. It did not start, so we flushed the tank and installed fresh fuel and filter. Replaced two injectors and reseal and clean the rest. replace spark plugs. Got it running decent. On clutch we replaced slave cylinder and master cylinder. on Brakes we replaced rear wheel cylinders, shoes and brand new drums, now it goes into gears great and stops good. Car has no power steering from factory. Speedo and RPM gauge work, all lights work, but parking brake light stays on. Have extra misc parts. Here what it needs: Smog check, rear suspension bushing and struts. (have new struts) AC needs to be checked and recharge but its all there, front bushings and struts worn. Tires hold air and have decent tread but they are weather cracked. Dash is very weather cracked. Pretty much this car will require lots of labor of love but it has a great is a running project and a good investment since value will continue to go up. Sold as is and suggest towing because even though it runs it does not have tags and don't know how road worthy it is... We paid the back do fees but car is currently not op, and buyer will have to tranfer owner ship, but do have original pink slip in hand...Please don't bid if you don't have funds or don't plan to buy. here is a video on youtube... http://youtu.be/JlKm8whLNxcOn Jun-22-14 at 09:42:39 PDT, seller added the following information: Guys, I drove the car around the block and I noticed that the head lights work, but the clearence light, signal lights, and brake lights are NOT working... It seems to be a power source issue. I will try to diagnose and repair it before auction closes, but due to schedule I might not be able to get to it..
