Up for sale is my 1992 Ford Mustang V8 convertible. Car started out as a 4cyl as soon as I got it home the old motor was pulled and I began finding the parts and pieces to convert it to a V8. I have been working on this car when I find time over the past two years. The motor in it is now a 1992 ford started as a 302 rebuilt and bored .30 over. New pistons, rings, seals. Heads are still the origional cast iron but over 20 hours was spent opening them up and making them less restrictive. The most material was taken off of the exhaust ports to match them to the new chrome 1 5/8 chrome bbk headers. The only origional parts that remain under the hood is the brake booster and the windshield wiper motor EVERYTHING else is brand new. I will list all of the parts below. So why am I selling the car? Honestly I dont have time to work on it. I have two small boys and two jobs that keep me plenty busy. I get to work on the car for an hour or two a few nights a weeks after I get off work and put them to bed at 9pm. Dont want to sell it but that how it goes. The car is prob 85% complete. The motor is awesome but the transmission needs some work. The overdrive gear will not engage. It has 1, 2, and 3 and shifts just fine into all those gears but will not shift into overdrive. It has the AOD transmission in it. The interior needs finished. I have new black door panels but have not installed them yet. I also have all the rest of the interior pieces to finish it but they are not installed yet. I did buy and install new black carpet but it has not been glued down just put in bc the old carpet was nasty. It was a red car, but has been primered just waiting on paint. Clear headlights and taillights all the way around brand new like everything else. The car is titled as having 243,100 miles but the new motor has less than 100 miles on it. Just drove it around the block to test drive never abused. Has Yokahama tires prob 70% tread left.
