Vehicle Detail

I have owned this 1955 Buick Super for over three years, and have regularly ran the car but limited trips locally to shows, ice cream runs and Sunday afternoon drives. Very solid car, straight body, no rust. Starts, shifts and runs smoothly. This 55 Super Hardtop has attractive colors of Dover White, Windsor Gray Metallic, and Carlsbad Black, a nice tri-tone color combination. Equipped as follows: 322ci "Fireball" Nailhead V8 (4 BBL, 236 HP)Variable pitch Dynaflow transmission (automatic)Power steeringPower brakesFactory tinted glassTwo-tone upholsteryDeluxe radioElectric ClockBack-up lightsDay/Night mirrorWide white-wall tires This Buick has a very nice, solid body and under-carriage. Cosmetically, you should expect to see some degree of flaws present (age, driving wear, etc.) with some chrome and pot-metal pitting, a few paint scratches. There is some wear on the interior with some seam separation. The dash is clean and windows work well. Original glass. The 322 V8 idles well, makes great power, and still has the functional gas pedal start. The Dynaflow transmission is very smooth and works well. She gets up to highway speed with modern traffic with ease. Overall the car looks and drives great. I had the speedometer rebuilt and running, but it has started to act up again. It reads about 60,000 miles, but the car likely has more. A Buick expert has looked at it and estimated 80,000 miles based on the gas/brake pedal wear and appearance of the undercarriage. Also, the fuel gauge recently stopped working, and it needs a new sending unit. I replaced the clock (with original), generator, voltage regulator, starter, fuel pump and battery in the last three years. The tires are correct Coker wide white-walls, with about 350 miles on them. The original AM radio, horn and all lights (including back up lights, dome light, dash lights, etc.) all work. The car is also for sale locally, so the auction may end early. Feel free to contact me to make an offer.
