Vehicle Detail

Hello Guys,Well we have decided not to take on another restoration project so we are looking to sell this car as a NO RESERVE auction here on ebay. It is a VERY VERY cool 68 Coronet RT with all the options it came with and all the documentation still with the car. It has the original broadcast sheet, fender tag, certicard, original owners manual in their name, and delivery acknowledgement. Clean Clear title in my name. This car has alot going for it in terms of color, options, #'s motor, loaded with docs, etc. to throw it in with every other rusty B body project car. It is the blueprint of a very very cool car optioned that way from the factory not just one made that way because there was no sheet or tag to show it was not really a true black loaded rt. Not trying to turn this car into a unicorn of the 68 coronet RT's but just saying it has alot more going for it than a stripped out green bench seat column shift B body sitting in a field. Some of the cooler options on this car that set it apart are the BB1 Black exterior which you do not see on many 68 Coronet RT's as I have not seen many true BB1 cars and then the GOLD interior option and white bumblebee stripe. It might be the only 68 coronet RT made with this color combo, I hate to use the one of one but I have never seen another one and I doubt there is another one. The car came with a special or "different" SO# as it started with a 77 and this might have been triggered by the gold interior? But it is definetly unique and no one has ever been able to explain why or what this is. Here is a breakdown of the broadcast sheet and what the window sticker cost would have been on this car new:Sequence Number Station - B/280722 – broadcast sequence number Shipping Order Scheduled Production Date (Thursday, 11/30/67) - B30 & 772811 - Shipping Order # Vehicle Identification Number car line - WS - Coronet R/T - $3353.00 body type - 23 - 2 door hardtop engine - L - 440 4bbl model year - 8 - 1968 assembly plant - G - St. Louis, MO sequential number - 169291 paint & style - BB1 - “black” mono-tone udf (upper door frame paint) - b - “black” “bumble bee” Stripe - 317 - White - n/c Sport vinyl bucket seat interior - s6n - Gold with Black dash & carpet 440 4bbl engine - 83 - standard Automatic transmission - 395 - standard Axle - 404 - 3.23:1 ratio - standard sure grip differential - 408 - optional - $42.35 Air conditioning - 411 - optional - $342.85 rear window defogger - 418 - optional - $21.30 Music master AM radio - 421 - optional - $61.55 Tires F70-14 red stripe Goodyear “SPEEDWAY” - 44 - standard Power Equipment power brakes - 451 - optional - $41.75 power steering - 456 - optional - $94.85 auto speed control - 473 - optional $52.50 heavy duty brakes (11” front & rear) - 478 - standard dual horns - 480 - standard bumper guards front and rear - 483 - optional - $31.10 console - 486 - optional $52.85 cigar lighter - 487 - standard carpets - 503 - standard glove box lock - 509 - standard ash receiver - 515 - standard turn indicator - fender mounted - 517 - optional - $10.50 tinted glass - 521 - All Windows - $39.50 headrest left and right - 533 - optional - $43.90 mirror outside left hand remote - 536 - optional - $9.40 mirror outside right hand matching - 537 - optional - $6.65 Mouldings wide sill - 529 - standard drip trough - 535 - standard wheel lip - 548 - standard deluxe seat belts - 550 - optional - $10.50 lap belt center passenger rear - 557 - optional - $6.50bucket seats - 564 - standardrear armrest & ashtray - 565 - standard SPORTS type wood grain steering wheel - 573 - optional - $25.95 undercoating & underhood pad - 579 - optional - $16.10 Deluxe wheel covers - 581 - optional - $21.30 3-speed windshield wipers - 589 - optional - $5.20 46 amp Alternator - 591 - included with 411 “Air Conditioning” heavy duty 70 amp/hour battery - 626 - standard wheels h.d. - 647 - standard h.d. suspension - 648 – standard Build Codes vac. fit. - 92 - #1944 092 - 2-way with A/C sway bar - 5 - #2462 885 - standard rad. - 47 - #2898 047 - with A/C engine assy. - 737 - standard trans. - 541 - #2801 541 - standard axle assy. - 244 - (8-3/4” 3.23:1 w/sure-grip & 11” brakes) pinion - 32 - #2538 932 - (32 tooth black) - standard wheel - 16B - (14x5.5” painted black) wheel covers - 64 - #2881 764 prop shaft - 62 - #2852 162 - (3.00” dia. It is a project car not a running driving car so bid accordingly. I have over 100 pics of this car and ebay would only let us load 24 total so email me for more pics if you would like. The car had the hood, fenders, doors and trunk deck removed when we got it so I was able to get pictures of the areas of the car you would not normally be able to see and then we reassmebled the car.The original #'s bare engine block is with the car. There is no transmission with it. The rearend and suspension is all there so it is a roller for transport. It is just as the pictures show. There are rust issues in the trunk, transmission crossmember, and the normal B body rust down low. The drivers side quarter was replaced at some time with an OEM quarter off another car. Rear frame rails are crusty but not rusted through but I am sure if you hit them with a blaster we know what they will do. It does have bolt in frame connectors too as this car spent much of its life as a drag car which saved it from the salt roads in winter. All in all it is pretty solid and pretty complete. In my opinion THE biggest thing on this car is ALL the docs still with it and that color with gold interior. When was the last time you saw a real black 68 coronet RT project car let alone one with a gold interior!! Have fun bidding and I hope it goes to someone that will give it the love it deserves and bring it back the way it should look based on the great factory options!! You are bidding on the car shown in the listing, it is a project car with no implied warranty. There will be a $500 non-refundable deposit due via paypal within 48 hours of the auction closing and the balance can be paid within 10 days of the auction closing. I am NOT responsible for any shipping and you must set that up yourself or pick the car up in person. The car is locate by norfolk, Nebr. This is an "as is" no warranty restoration vehicle. Now that we have those formalities out of the way have fun bidding as this is a GREAT car for a resoration with NO reserve!! On Jun-11-14 at 03:18:25 PDT, seller added the following information: If you are serious about the car and would like to see more pictures as ebay limits the auction to 24 pictures please email me as I have over 100 pictues of this car in my photobucket. Thank you
