Vehicle Detail

1969 Volvo 142, 2 door, 4 cyl (B20), 4 spd. This was going to a project car but I've changed direction. This is an unmolested stock car (a clean slate). It is a great little car in very good condition. Fully drivable, everything (except emergency brake) works as it should (brakes, clutch, engine, electrics, etc). Accelerates, shifts, and brakes nicely. No leaks (oil/coolant) and no smoke. Originally a California car that moved to Texas and is now in Ohio (title proves this). I've owned it for a year and a half. I didn't drive it during the winter (garaged). As far as I know it's never been driven in snow. The previous owner installed an electronic choke that seems to make the car hard to start when cold. The starter and battery work perfectly. I would install a new electronic choke or go back to manual. I'll leave that up to the buyer. The original carb was replaced with a Weber unit. The emergency brake is in-op but I'm including the replacement parts. Matching Goodyear tires (>50% tread) on Volvo alloy rims. The paint job is a re-spray that looks okay. I call it a "ten footer" paint job. The body is straight and begs for a real paint job. It's fine for a daily driver. Some rust is "starting" in the paint in a couple areas. NOTHING major. See pics. The previous owner had speakers in the doors which are gone. You could replace the speakers or buy new (NOS) door cards from VP Autoparts. The front seats are correct (very comfortable) to the model and year but are red and rest of the interior is black. Carpet is new. Previous owner installed a red padded cover to the transmission hump. Not my style but I left it. The cigar box in the picture is for small personal items. I've since added a center console that goes with car. The trunk lid is missing the springs, but I am including a set with the sale. Please ask any questions you have on the car and I will get back to the same day. The car has a low reserve to keep out the riffraff. Thanks and happy bidding.
