Vehicle Detail

This has got to be the best, non-restored, all-original Blazer that someone would ever part with. I'll hate to see it go. This Blazer has never smoked in it, It's never been off-road, and has never been a transporter for pets. The original engine runs perfectly and does not smoke. Oil consumption is 1 pint per 5000 miles. Its been well maintained. The 89 Blazer was the 1st year to use a serpentine accessory belt. One belt for everything! The exterior is (very) RED with a white belt. The original paint is excellent everywhere but the hood. It has started to get minor acid rain stains. I just had polished professionally buffed and the hood is looking good now, but you can still see acid rain etching. Otherwise, the paint is bright and shiny and has never needed any repairs. It has several door dings and rock chips and a few spots on the passenger door where the white paint is laminating and showing primer (see pics). Overall, I'd give the paint condition (except the hood) a 7 out of 10 - and I'm a tough judge. The hood now gets a 6. The interior is gray cloth and is in good condition. No rips, tears or stains on seats. The dash is original and is not cracked. Seriously - see the pics! I've had a cover on the dash from day one. I has some white spots on the Instrument Bezel where a solvent or removed the brushed stainless finish on the plastic bezel. You can see it in the pics. The AC was converted in 2008? 2009? when it needed a new compressor. It blows nice and cold. I tinted the side windows, side wing windows and rear glass. I have stainless rain guards over the door windows. The tailgate is not cracked at the latches (unlike a lot of these I see), the glass motor works well and the tailgate closes solidly and doesn't rattle. I added a Clifford Alarm in 2004 and the fob locks and unlocks the doors. Everything works, BUT the Kenwood ES head will need replacement! The orig FM Cassette amps died, so I replaced it with the Kenwood CD head in 2010. I've never been happy with it. But I also upgraded all the speakers and I really have enjoyed those over stock originals. The Blazer is still at its original suspension height (never lifted) on Michelin LTX/AT2 31x10.5x15 tires. They have approx. 60% tread life remaining (I'll add tread measurements later). The Date codes for the tires is 4408 and were installed Jan or Feb 2009, if memory serves. Its been used as my Daily Driver for the last 5 years. It's never been off-road, never been in salt, never had hail or water damage and never been in any form of accident. There are several door dings, chips and paint chips on the original paint. It has very minor surface rust on chassis and behind bumpers, being 25-26 years old will do that to metal. There are NO frame or body rust-thru concerns at all. You'll find no problems or surprises with the vehicle, I won't deal like that. Feel free to contact me with any questions, I might leave off some info by mistake, since its been a while since I sold a vehicle. Its been garaged most of its life, until 5 years ago, when it became a Daily Driver. I found it in Idaho in 2004 with 64K original, 3 owner miles. It now and has 107K miles (106759 today) correctly shown on the odometer. When I bought the Blazer in 2004, I replaced the entire exhaust with GM parts, Catalytic converter, brake booster, coil over rear shocks, a class 3 hitch. In 2009, the transmission oil cooler was added and the transmission was rebuilt by a Tech connected with Roush performance. The windshield was replaced in 2013 with safe-lite glass. Last month, I had a major tuneup and I also replaced the distributor and fuel pump/sending unit in the tank with GM Delco parts. I also replaced the front shocks with HD Monroes. This Blazer has the 2 shock setup on front not the 4 shock front suspension. It has WARN locking front hubs. Just today, its in the shop for a complete $1300 brake job. It has new front hubs, seals and bearings, metallic pads and shoes and all new brake hardware. I didn't want it to need anything for the new owner. I know these trucks well. I've been driving them since 1985. I've owned 5 full size Blazers and one S-10. This truck has no problems other than needing a radio head. This is a great truck that you will be proud to own and you will receive constant envy from other truck guys. Drive it to Wyoming where they think it's a Ferarri!!! A percentage of the proceedes will go to the Wounded Warrior Project. Thanks!
