There aren't many like this left. This car was purchased new by the Owen funeral home located in Cartersville Ga, it was used as a family funeral car and remained in the family Until the late 1970's. I was told this particular car made the journey to Alabama in 1953 to view the late Hank Williams, It was no part of the funeral procession, but it is cool enough to mention. This car was completely restored in 1985, taken to local car shows and cruises up until 1989, then it was simply tucked away in an old farm shed by it's previous owner. It was cranked and driven up and down the driveway over the years, until the previous owner came to terms that his health had grown too bad to give the car the care she deserved. When I purchased the car , I cleaned the fuel tank, added new gasoline and a battery, after a few brief engine spins, she fired right up and ran like a top. She is still in fabulous shape for her age, I have tried to preserve her, rather than worry about restoring her. Her flaws are , No Brakes, I believe she needs a new master cylinder. The tires are far too dry to be driving even though they have great tread on them. She is once again in need of a Battery due to sitting under my carport, the windshield is milky, very small spot of rust in the driver front floor pan has been patched, the chrome plated pot metal pieces are pitted, Her paint is showing it's age but still cleans up nicely. Trunk pan is solid. The pictures speak for themselves people. Comes with a bill of sale and current registration. This car deserves to be in someones collection out of the weather, perhaps on display, they sure don't make them like this anymore.
