UP for your consideration is a classic car in need of restoration. All Original 1978 Ford Granada ESS, European Sports Sedan with 58,151 Original miles. 302ci V8, C4 automatic transmission, bucket seats, solid, original car. AM/FM stereo, tilt and cruise control are the only added factory options other than the ESS package. History: In 2004 I bought an estate in Arizona which included 3 vehicles in it. this Granada was one of those cars. It belonged to an elderly gentleman who was relocating and unable to drive. I had the belts, hoses, tires and idler arm replaced along with a tune-up. The car was (is) all original and clean, so I drove it to Florida and used it as one of my daily drivers for 2 years. The car ran fine except the a/c stopped working. Compressor did not lock up...just squealed and I cut the belt off it and never looked any further. While looking for a tail light lens on eBay, I found a 1977 Ghia loaded with options and low miles...and bought that one also! These cars are super highway cruisers and just float in comfort. Life events, practicality and the like forced them both off the road in 2008. The car was then left for a tour of duty and the elements had their way with her. (I have his 1977 brother also listed.) Obviously not running but I know engine and tranny are mechanically sound. Undercarriage and trunk have no issues whatsoever. For a vehicle that has been sitting this long, I myself would change all small electrical components along with fresh gas, fluid changes and tune up. The wiring harness might need attention in a few places because I can see a rodent chewed on a few wires behind the engine but not major at all.
