I am a stickler for originality and did not change any part of the car like some owners like to do. For example, quite a few Corvette owners change the air cleaner and valve covers to aftermarket chrome. Even though this may look better in shows, this modifies the original engine and points are subtracted from the car in national Corvette competitions. This car is considered a #2 level, out of 4 levels, as determined by Hagerty Insurance, with #1 being "trailer queens" and never driven. #2 Cars win local and regional shows, the paint, chrome glass and interior will be excellent and the vehicle will drive as a new car of the area would. #2 Cars average around $28-$30K with #1 cars averaging $48-$50K in national auction results.
