Vehicle Detail

1993 Mustang GT 5.0L Hatchback 5 Speed This car was my son's make a wish car. He was battling cancer all last year and I bought it for him to try and cheer him up and keep his mind occupied. I basically took out a loan and gave him free reign to buy what he wanted (within reason) to put on the car. Unfortunately, he is not with us anymore and we can't stand looking at it. It will make someone an amazing everyday driver with insane performance while also possessing the ability to do some weekend drag racing at the track. I have receipts for almost everything, as you will see at the bottom of this ad. I also have pictures that will show the restoration progress. I am no drag racer or a speed demon. I like muscle cars and the way they sound and feel when driving them. This car has never been on the track. It was built to be ready for track but changed the plans in the middle. The car has been babied since my son and I purchased it. I do not have the first clue about the drag racing aspect of one of these cars but I know it can now be an everyday driver that just happens to sound like a beast. It is definitely a head turner with people staring every time I am at a red light. I am not going to lie, I have gotten on it a few times after adding something new here or there but the engine is same as new. I have never driven it more than 4 miles round trip anywhere. This car has so many extras I have no clue where to start. I have put less than 50 miles on the car since we bought it. Like I said, it was only meant to help my son keep his mind on something different. The paint job is about 15 months old and looks pretty good. Most of the work I have done to the car has been on the interior; however, the engine has less than 500 miles on it. It was rebuilt by a friend of mine who sold it to me. He was planning to drag race the car but decided to make it a little lighter on performance so he could use it as an everyday driver. He bought another one that he put a twin turbo on and that is his race car. This thing has hardly even been driven. Almost every single piece of the interior has been replaced new, again as you will see in the detailed list at the bottom. I will post much more tomorrow about the engine and what was done to it in the rebuild. Here is a little of what I remember that was done to effect performance: 1) Cold Air Intake into fender well 2) 90mm Throttle Body 3) F-303 cam (Evil sounding and rocks the whole car) 4) Hydraulic Roller Rockers 5) 410 Rear End (On the old tires I crossed it up in the road and almost lost it hitting third gear!) 6) Gear Drive (Whines just enough to sound angry) 7) Nitrous lines are run and ready with the mounts in the back needing only the bottle; however, based on my mechanic who races these things, he said I should not run Nitrous on that car because he thinks it is overpowered and will blow something if NOS is ran. Proceed with caution!! 8) BBK Equal Length Shorty Headers High temp Ceramic paint and High Temp Wrapped 9) Steeda Short Throw Shifter 10) MSD TFI Performance Coil 11) MSD Cap and Rotor Kit 12) MSD Iridium IX Spark Plug Wires 13) Flowmaster mufflers cut-off under back seats. One of the best sounding GT's I have ever heard! 14) 3 1/2" Cowl Hood Scoop 15) Staggered Wheels and Tires 17/8 fronts and 17/10 on the back The wheels and tires are all brand new having less than 10 miles on them (YES 10 miles). The car also has a nearly brand new interior. The theme my kid wanted was black and chrome with some gray accents. He also wanted those led blue lights on the inside. He put a shift ball that has a ring of blue LED's and Blue LED's in the map light area. The carpet and mats are all new. The interior was done right, I sanded and sprayed any rust spots with primer then covered spots with sheet metal. Then I sprayed a protective Rubber coating throughout the entire floor pan. Dyna-Mat was installed over every piece of the floor pan and behind the door panels. Only then did I install the new carpet and sound insulation. The door panels I have completely redone in black vinyl. The front seats are brand new leather sport seats. I replaced some of the plastic parts in the car with used parts. Most is new and good luck telling which ones are used. I personally did the interior myself. It is one of my best jobs. Because my wife cannot stand to look at it we just really want it to go away. I wish I could get at least that out of it. No man or woman should ever have to watch what we watched happen to our son. If there is an Ebayer out there that wants to do something nice, I will donate every penny over $8300 to the Pediatric Cancer Research unit at All Children's Hospital in Tampa. The rest I plan to pay of debt. I am sorry to have listed it this way but we have just had a rough go of it and need God and/or the universe to make us whole again. Looking at my boy's car is not helping either of us. It is a pretty car that someone will have a lot of fun with.
