Offering for sale this week is an EXCELLENT 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 Six Pack. It is a solid, original Automatic trans car,it has an original 1970 Shaker hood,original Go Wing and Louvers.Though it did not come with these from the factory,these are factory components,not reproductions. The car was fitted with these parts in the early 90's,at this time the car was refinished in its original color.The current owner bought the car as it sits in 2001 or so.The current finish shows some hazing and "checking",but looks very presentable and overall excellent body panel fit,excellent chrome and brightwork make it easy on the eyes. Super solid sheetmetal, quarters,doors,fenders. The floors are original,so solid except for a 10"x 10" patch someone did in the drivers floor by the left seat track,I have photographed the area,minor to say the least.The interior is in need of nothing,it is clean ,seats are beautiful and console and door panels are excellent to say the least. Mechanically everything works as it should,I am cleaning up the carbs and changing the fluids this week,it hasn't been used much for the last couple of years,the only thing that has been done recently is a couple of flowmaster mufflers and oil services yearly( about 400 miles have been put on the car in the last 3 years).It has some small leaks from valley pan,and some from valve covers,nothing appreciable but I think the valley pan gasket could stand to be replaced The car would benefit from being used,it would bring anyone enjoyment to take this car out for a ride on a saturday night, it runs strong,sounds like a beast and very reliable to boot.The new owner may or may not find the need to repaint immediately. I am hoping some one will see the value of the Shaker set-up,Go Wing and louvers and factor that into the "value" equation, the solid rust free body and chassis,original engine and the overall rarity of a "V" code E body will be another part of the "value" of this car.I have put this car up at a "Buy It Now" reasonable offers will always be entertained, please keep them real.There is no immediate health,marital or financial crisis that would require this car to be fire saled.
