Up for auction is an extremely clean and original Inka Orange 1974 BMW 2002tii 4 speed. This car has been very well preserved, having sat in storage for over 12 years, being started and gone through every six months. The car runs and drives very well and just had a 900 dollar service at the local European performance shop, including a new coil, distributor cap, rotor, wires, spark plugs, and injection pump service. The clutch engages very smoothly, the brakes stop well and are very firm, and the steering is very tight and nimble. Every light on the car, including the dome light, works. The all original interior is in pristine condition aside from some splitting on the seams of the driver's seat and the rubber shift boot being cracked. The dashboard is absolutely perfect and has no cracks or splitting. The steering wheel, gauges, and carpet are also in excellent shape. The original tii clock still works, but does not keep accurate time. The car has been resprayed at one point many years ago, but is the original color. The car presents very well and shines great, but does have some road chips from winter driving and some minor dings and dents from storage. All of the door jams, trunk, and engine bay are still covered in original paint. Every factory sticker still remains in the original location from the day the car was built. The odometer reads 54,576 miles, and is believed to possibly be original. This tii does have some minor rust in a few of the areas these cars are notorious for, but are easily repairable. The driver's side rocker has a 3 inch bit of rust on the outer skin of the rocker, but has not protruded any further. The passenger front fender has an 8 inch hairline bit of rust on the outer skin, and the rear body brace under the trunk pan on the passenger side has been affected, but has not protruded to the trunk pan itself. The shock towers, floor pans, and trunk pans are all solid as a rock and still have the factory undercoating covering them. This is an extremely clean original 2002tii that could be daily driven, or be a candidate for a light restoration.
