1993 Mercedes Benz 300TE 4-Matic Stationwagon, Champagne color paint 2 tone exterior (Mercedes named the color Smoke), with a tan interior. 228,000 miles +/- as of this writing, We’ve been using the car as a family utility daily driver vehicle for about 3 years now. Averages about 21/22 MPG probably due to the weight of the 4 wheel drive,.. and all the over-engineering. The good, no accidents!, it is safe (built like a tank, look up the Fifth-Gear-Mercedes-E-Class-quality-test-(Part-4-4).html or all 4 parts) it runs and is registered, no rust!, new battery, belt (engine), struts for the rear door, transmission rebuilt by previous owner, inline 6 works, clock works, AC and heat work, sunroof works, safety inspected items work, horn, power seats, alarm, locks, radio/CD player, gauge cluster, monster mono wiper, lights, hazards, roof rack, ABS, suspension, center glovebox lock, overhead console, power antennae, front & rear fog and R/L park lights, all work. Airbag is good. Seat material (German Vinyl) is good, Capacity of cargo area is awesome and the 3 pointed star hood ornament remains. The unexpected, 3rd row seat is missing seat bottom cushion, tires are useable but could use replacing within the next year, driver window is 10% manual (that last inch), dings and dents minimal but there, headlight wipers work (but one of the motors would not shut off, so,… they remain disconnected), car will stall sometimes in hot hot weather entering a fast turn under hard braking, lastly, burns or loses some oil monthly/bimonthly (may be good as oil is changed regularly, ahem), wood on center console is cracked, cruise control is non op,… oh yeah and somebody clipped the driver side mirror cleanly off the car the day I decided to sell it,.. mirror is replaceable as the mounting points, wires and motors, (actually the cracked mirror with housing) are all there, you just need a new/good used one. The worth mention, 4-Matic system seems to work when tested in downpours, no warning lights on. The why, new babies and new Minivan. The How, you buy it, you ship it or pick it up. I can recommend a Piggyback (Car Transport Company/Dispatch). It is what it is, used basic luxury transportation and utility with no guarantees, at a fair price.
