Vehicle Detail
This was a new Harley Earl design for Cadillac in 1941. It is the first year for a Cadillac automatic trans. and the first year for turn signals. It has a 150 bhp 346 cu. inch L-Head V-8 engine and hydraulic drum brakes. This is one of the most desirable Cadillacs and especially popular for touring. The car is a full CCCA classic and the beautiful color combination wins admirers everywhere. A complete restoration was done some years before I bought the car, and I have been unable to obtain info about previous owners. I've owned the car 7 years and have installed a stainless exhaust system, replaced the U-joint and performed normal maintenance. I've driven the car primarily locally and in parades. Since I don't have previous owner info, I can make no statement as to correct mileage. There are some minor chips in a couple areas of paint and there is one area of the dash that could use some work, but overall it shows well. I'm selling the car primarily because I don't use it enough and I think someone else could put it to better use. The car is being sold as is, where is, although I will arrange to meet with your transport company at my home for loading. If there are any questions, please contact me at 803-802-7350. The car is located in South Carolina, just over the border from Charlotte, NC. I would welcome anyone to come look at the car in person, since that is the best way to see it for yourself. Payment is to made as follows: $500 down payment through PayPal within 24 hours of close of sale. Balance of payment is due by cashier's check within 3 days of auction close. NOTE: Several people have asked whether the car is a matching numbers car. The VIN on the title matches the VIN on the engine. Cadillac did not provide a cowl ID tag for this year, but the VIN on the title follows the car, not the engine. Thus, my assumption is that this is the original engine. There is a VIN number stamped on the inside of the left frame next to the steering gear, but it would take the car on a lift to check that.
