Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a nice 1974 TRIUMPH T140V 750 BONNEVILLE 5 speed. Wow what a hoot. Very nice older restored T140V. The bike was restored started in 2003 and finished in 2004. Has been ridden since then. It has some ride wear on it. So it is not a museum bike. But still very nice. There is a folder with close to $5,000 in receipts for parts that were installed in the bike during the restoring. Bike has matching numbers (HJ56131). Manufactured in July of 1974. Here is a partial list of parts: Cylinder pistons, new top end (valve guides, valve seals, intake/exhaust valves), Crank bearings both ends, camshaft bushings, carbs, clutch, air box, air box covers, front forks tubes, fenders F/R, mufflers, Disc master brake cylinder, brake hose, banjo, caliber cover, gear tach drive, rims and spokes front and rear. Boyer electronic ignition, solid state voltage regulator, Sealed battery, headlight housing, Tach and speedo, handle bars+ misc chrome parts. Headlight was update to a H4 halogen. Tank was painted, but has a small bubble on the top (see photo). There is a plate on the top of the tank, perhaps for gas spills? Frame has been painted. As can be seen in the photos a lot of the parts have been polished. Sometime in the past a new speedo has been installed, so I am not for sure on the miles since restored. From all the paper work and contacts I am guessing close to 4,000 miles. The owner I purchase it from had it 2 years and put 240 mile on it. I myself have put perhaps 50- 75 miles on it. Tires are Avon Venom. There are a few issues, after bike has been sitting, the clutch plates are sticky. I start the bike while up on the center stand and let the bike ride for about 30 seconds. But it back in neutral. Put it down off the center stand and in gear, off you go. Shifts fine thru all the gears. Front tire has minor weather marks. But can still ridden. There are some extra parts included. Set of carbs and a few other parts. Folder full of receipts, two owner’s manuals and an OEM color 1974 Triumph motorcycle model info brochure. I have a clear Texas title. Please email me if you have any questions. I live in greater Dallas area. If you would like to stop to look, please email me and I can give you a call. I am selling this AS IS, WHERE IS. I’m making no guarantee of any kind. What you see in the pictures is what you get. The best thing would be for you to stop by if you are relatively close check out the bike. I will require a 500.00 deposit with-in 48 hours end of auction. With the balance due at pick-up. You will have to step up shipping if you need it. Can help with loading.
