Up for auction is my 1976 MGB roadster. I am the second owner and have owned this car for approximately 30 years.As you may see in the photos this car is ready for a new paint job and interior restoration. Although there is some surface rust on the rear fender of the drivers side, to my knowledge there has never been any points of rust-through. The floor is solid, and until 3 years ago when we moved into a condo, this car had always been garaged kept. As can be seen, the winters have quickly taken a toll on the exterior. As I can no longer drive and my wife refuses to drive the B, having someone else enjoy the car through this auction appears to be my best option. I will allow the pics to speak for the condition to the exterior and interior of the car.The glove box door is not on but in the car. The drivers door window does not crank up or down. Mechanically, the motor has less than 500 miles on a rebuild that included shaving the head, oversized pistons, racing cam and ceramic header. It, however, is still just a 1976 MGB and not a race car. During the rebuild, the clutch, slave cylinder, the gears in the rear end and the carburator were replaced. 3:11 gears were used to replace the original gears. The carb was changed to a Weber carb. The fuel pump was changed from mechanical to electronic . The front end has been rebuilt and the tires have less than 500 miles on them.
