****SEE RECENT ADDITIONS BELOW I have a bunch of additional photos if you want, so send a message and let me know. This mint condition barn find is CA smogged and registered with clear CA title. Gentleman cattle rancher (original owner) left the 4x4 jeep truck covered in his California barn when he died years ago. Before his demise, he painted the vehicle, then applied undercoat and bedliner to bed and fenders. He also put a 4bbl carb on it and removed all CA emissions equipment. I replaced the smog equipment, manifold and a 2bbl to get it registered (but kept the 4bbl and manifold). Also replaced: spark plugs, battery, alternator, gas filler/vent tubes, L. exhaust header (someone brazed a bolt hole), rear brakes, and wiper blades. Comes with original Jeep AM/FM radio with CB, trailer brake module, and an old school gun rack. Rancher welded a double steel plate to the bed to hold a gooseneck ball. Looks like he added a leaf to the rear springs. Shop says the truck came with the Jeep heavy-duty rear-end for towing, and the gear ratio feels consistent with this. Rancher replaced the rubber on the windshield and triangular vent windows, but vents whistle a bit. Rancher's son said his dad drove it back and forth from CA to his Montana ranch as the seasons changed, so the miles may be more highway. You can see a few small whisps of rust where the fenders meet the body, and in the bed. If you want them : 4x 10 inch rims, 4bbl Edelbrock carb and matching Edelbrock manifold.Things I would do: re-seal windshield (6-10 small drips per hour in the rain), recharge A/C unit to R120 standards, re-chrome the front bumper (Son said his dad struck a critter in past years). ****New info: The wipers work, but quit on me the other day until I restarted them, so there is a bug there. Have not tried trailer brake unit while towing, but the light comes on when I brake without a trailer, so electrical seems connected. The trailer socket remains old school, so you need an adapter if you have a new trailer, or need to change-out for the new versions. Speedometer needle bounces from 0-25, reads solid from 25 to 70, then bounces at 70+. Gas gauge reads empty when it has 5 gals remaining. Chrome flaked off part of front bumper reportedly from Rancher striking critter. I don't see a CB antennae anywhere, so someone should figure that out.
