This 525i has been in my family for the last ten years. We have recently replaced the fuel pump and filter, brakes, and tires. First the good points: I just installed a brand new NAPA premium battery with a cost of $145. The car rides and runs well, the brakes are smooth, the motor and exhaust are quite. The car does not smoke at all. It only has 159,000 miles on it. The car gets over twenty miles to the gallon around town, and twenty six miles to the gallon on the highway. There is a computer on the dash that gives you average miles per gallon, outside temp., miles till empty, day, date, time, and trip timer. Power heated seats. The sound system still works well. We just had a rebuilt steering box installed. The car just passed state inspection and has a sticker good to 2/2016. Now the bad: there is a small crack in the windshield down at the very bottom behind the windshield wiper, The air conditioning fan switch is intermittent, the rear passenger door does not open and the door panel is in poor condition, the door panel on the drivers door is missing a glue on insert. The headliner is a little lose by the rear window. The drivers seat has one split seam, the rest of the seats are nice. The paint is still nice for how old the car is, but there is a small amount of hale damage that does not show up in the pictures. There is some surface rust on some of the edges of the rocker panels.
