Vehicle Detail
This is a 1993 Honda Civic Del Sol Si. I am the original owner and my wife and I bought this car to use as a “summer fun car.” It has only been used in the summer mostly on sunny days with the top down. The rest of the year it has been stored in my garage with a cloth cover over the top. It has been immaculately cared for and runs perfect and exactly like new. Everything is original except the tires, battery and muffler. Everything on the care works exactly like new including all the switches and controls. The exterior finish is about 90-95% as good as the original factory finish. This car was my pride and joy and I took great care of it. Here are links to 68 pictures on Photobucket and a 10 minute YouTube video. http://s856.photobucket.com/user/jarroberts/media/5.jpg.html http://youtu.be/gc1e3TzLgTw This is a very fun car to drive. It is a 5 speed manual transmission with a very short shifting throw. The top comes off easily and fits securely in a nice bracket under the trunk lid. The car is very quiet even with the top down. The amount of airflow through the car can be controlled with the small power rear window (great design). One of the unique things about this car is the very large trunk. We can store 3 suitcases and a cooler in the trunk for traveling in the summer (unlike most small cars like this). The seats are very comfortable and the visibility in the car is excellent. The mileage is about 32-33 mpg and it uses regular gas. It has an aftermarket stereo system with a separate power amplifier behind the passenger seat and 4 speakers (2 subwoofers). I paid about $1500 for the stereo system when I bought the car. There is absolutely no rust on the car (it has never been driven in snow). There are a few minor superficial scratches and swirl marks that are nearly impossible to avoid on the highways. A short time with a buffer should remove most of these marks. There are two very small areas behind the rear wheels with a little bubbling of the paint that I show on the video. I doubt you can find a used car with a better finish than this one unless it has been completely restored. I also just had the car detailed including cleaning of the carpets and upholstery on the seats. The engine runs perfect and exactly like new. It doesn’t burn or leak any oil. It starts perfect. There are no abnormal sounds. There is no slippage in the clutch and the transmission is exactly like new. I have meticulous maintenance records (see a copy in the pictures). The oil has been changed 41 times over 122,000 for an average of every 2980 miles. I have done regular coolant flushes, transmission fluid changes, spark plug changes and tune-ups and air filter changes. The tires were replaced at 112,345 miles so there is only about 10,000 miles on the current BF Goodrich tires that look virtually new. I installed a new battery in June 2013. I replaced the muffler and most of the exhaust system in 2005. I replaced the starter at 77,720 miles. I put a new clutch in at 87,288 miles. Last fall the small metal heat shield above the catalytic converter was rattling against the catalytic converter (a loose spot weld). My mechanic put a couple band clamps around the catalytic converter and heat shields and it has been fine since. About 10 years ago someone backed into the front end in a parking lot and cracked the plastic front bumper cover. The front bumper was replaced with OEM parts. There was no other structural damage. It has not been in any other accidents. There have been no other major repairs. It has a clean title. I will include the complete maintenance records, the original Owner’s Manual and the original window sticker. Here are the specs on the car. 1.6 liter, 4 cylinder 5 speed manual transmission with overdrive, very short throw Front wheel drive Fuel injection Power windows including power rear window Removable roof panel that fits in the trunk compartment rack Very large trunk - this is one of the best features of this car. Cruise control Mileage - 32-33 mpg has been my average Aftermarket stereo system was installed at time of purchase Alpine 7802 CD/AM/FM front unit (30 watts x 2) Alpine 3527 Power Amplifier mounted behind the passenger seat (90 watts x 2) MB Quart Speakers in the doors Two subwoofers in the back panels Vehicle is sold as is. Email or call me with any questions before bidding. An Ebay bid is a binding commitment to buy so don’t bid unless you expect to win at that price. There is no reserve so I will sell to the winning bidder. I will not let the auction end early (don't even ask). I reserve the right to block bidders with zero feedback. Shipping is at the buyers expense and is the buyers responsibility. I will only let the car ship to the Mainland US (48 states). Payment will include a nonrefundable $300 deposit due within 24 hours of the end of the auction (absolutely no exceptions). Final payment must be made within 7 days by cash or by Cashier’s Check. If you are paying by Cashier’s Check, I will not release the car and Title until my bank assures me that the funds have cleared 100%. Unfortunately a Cashiers Check can be counterfeited so I need to make sure it is good before I release the car so please plan for this delay. I have a US Bank and Wells Fargo Bank in my city so if you used one of these National Banks I can probably verify the Cashiers Check faster and release the car sooner. Of course I will release the car immediately with a cash payment. Please email or call me with any questions before you bid. 715-579-1603 (Jim)
