What can you tell me about the history and service history? Thank you. Answer: From the title search I did, the car was sold in Idaho in 1993 with 357 miles, then sold in Washington in 2005 and 2010 with exempt mileage, and then purchased by me in October 2013 with 185K miles. Washington state does not require mileage reporting on car titles past 100K miles. I have had the car serviced at a local garage. There is not much to tell about it mechanically, it runs fine. I had the fluids changed/checked and a tune up done. It does not leak or burn oil, or leak anything else anywhere else. When I first bought it did not run well, as in no power. The ignition module and coils were replaced , and then the throttle position sensor was replaced, which solved the power problem. I also installed a Jet Performance chip which helped the car's performance dramatically. There is no rust on the car anywhere. This has been a Pacific Northwest car all of its life so rust (salt) is not a problem. It has a small door ding on the passenger side, and the front grill/valance has some rock chip blemishes. Other than that the body and paint are excellent. The interior has some wear (creasing) on the drivers seat leather. Other than that the interior is in excellent condition, no holes, tears or cracks. There are some places where the headliner cloth has started to sag, but that is the only detractor from the interior condition. For a car with 186,000 miles it is in amazing condition. It has obviously been very well taken care of and meticulously maintained. I bought it as a replacement to my current car, which has no paint. Due to budget constraints I cannot afford two cars, and it is easier to sell a car that has paint than one that does not. So the Toronado has to go. Question: Does the AC and Heater work? Also, do the Interior lights work when the door is opened? Thanks. Answer: Yes the A/C and heater work. The A/C was one of the repairs I had done. A fitting was broken so it was replaced and the system recharged. It works great. The heater and A/C are part of the climate control system installed in the car. It is accessed via the Visual Information Center, a color touch screen CRT in the dash. I have attached a picture of it. This is a touch screen 15 years before iPhones, way ahead of its time. Everything in the car is controlled from here, climate, radio, trip planner, etc. Very cool. The car also has an integrated cellular phone in the center console, a Motorola model. The only thing that does not work in the car is the console cup holder, which is not broken but is totally dysfunctional by design. Question: A few more questions. Does the paint have any of the clear coat coming off or flacking any where on the body or the bumpers? Is the paint fading anywhere? Any scratches or dents on the body? Do you have the owners manual and the manual for the phone? Does the power antenna go up and down when the radio is turned on and off? Do you have one or two remotes for the door locks. Also how many sets of keys do you have? Do you mind telling me what your reserve is? Thanks again for taking time to answer my questions. Answer: No clear coat problems. For some reason Oldsmobile avoided the clear coat problems of the early 90's. No fading or flaking. Rock chips on front valance/grill. One door ding on passenger side, not a dent. No other body damage, cosmetic or otherwise. I have the original owners manual, original shop service manual, and a Haynes manual. I do not have the manual for the phone. It is a Motorola Cellular One. Try Ebay. Power antenna works. Radio and sound system work. I have not tried the CD player but I assume it works.I have one remote-key fob for the doors. I have two sets of keys. The ignition keys have the special VAT chip on them, a $50 value. The reserve has been lowered since the previous listing. If you would like some more pictures let me know. Be specific of what you would like pictures of and I will take them for you.
