Weekend Rides is selling a well loved 911 coupe with a freshly rebuilt transaxle. With the way air cooled 911 prices are going up so quickly this may be the best value in a real Porsche we have seen in a long time. We owned this 911 five years ago when it had some minor rear upper body damage when an SUV drove over the tail light. We did the chasis repair and painted some of the rear body at that time. it was NOT a hard hit accident. The 911 drives as it should and has NO alignment issues. We had acquired it from an insurance loss at that time, that's why it has a branded title. If this bothers you or think its a way to work us over on price, please don't, it isn't a 911 for you. We sold the 911 locally and have serviced it in our Porsche shop ever since. Last summer we rebuilt the transaxle and it got a new clutch. The owner drove it only when he was in area at his summer home, about 3k miles per year. He recently traded it in on a 996 we had, and because we knew the coupe, we were happy to get it back in. The interior is in a spectacular condition, it has a beautiful MOMO steering wheel and Blaupunkt Houston radio. The powerful 3.2 liter engine runs strong and the suspension is tight. At start up there is a common puff of smoke like most 911s get. Fitted with 6&7 inch x 16 Fuchs with decent thread on the tires. NOTE THE PHOTO SHOWS IT WITH 8 INCH FUCHS ON REAR, THEY ARE SPECIFICALLY NOT INCLUDED IN SALE DESPITE BEING PICTURED. The 911 has both front and rear factory spoilers. Body is in need of some typical older 911 door jamb rust repairs, the drives door jamb is worse than the passenger jamb. It appears low and is at the curve by the rocker sills, this era 911 has a common problem with door jambs rusting from the inside out and we see it very often. It has a few common 911 oil leaks, we may address them as shop time allows and update any repairs we may make in the listing. The rear bumper was repaired by another shop after a small scrape and its not very nicely painted. Since the 911 will need a full repaint if you fix the rockers properly and address a few chips and scratches this does not matter much. The rear center reflector was replaced at that time with one from an 87 which is slightly different, the early reflector is NLA from Porsche and used ones are usually pretty ratty. This is one of those cars you can drive every day as it is and it looks nice, or you can make it even nicer as time and money allow. If the door jam rust bothers you the time is now. One day it should be attended to of course. It has had no front end accidents and the floors are very nice, no under battery rust, typical small rust beginning on the bumper bracket mount visible inside the trunk which is typical of so many of this generation. Has factory tools jack and correct spare tire and a good battery. We are a PA licensed dealer, the 911 title is in our name and both the car and title are on our premises. We require an appointment to see any of our Porsches as they are stored indoors and warehoused in various local locations. . We do not offer any financing, we only accept 911s in trade. Please do not ask reserve. We will gladly pick you up at a local airport if you fly in to see it and wish to drive it home. We can arrange transport at your cost if you want it sent to you.
