Description This car has been painstakingly preserved by me for the last 39 years. I am the 3rd owner. The car is numbers matching, has always been garaged, and is driven regularly. This is an incredible running car, and runs the way it did when new. It has been repainted once, which disqualifies it from Bloomington Gold Survivor status. However, the car meets this criteria in other aspects. The original owner’s manual with plastic case, warranty card, am/fm radio supplement instructions, and all receipts for the past 39 years have been preserved. The description below is a partial list of the maintenance that has been performed on the car during the time I have owned it. Mechanical – OEM parts only All components are operable, unless noted, including the vacumn system, headlight doors, wiper door, and fiber optical lighting. The entire car is numbers matching. Note: The block casting number is correct. Block was 'decked' when rebuilt. The engine was rebuilt at considerable expense with all OEM parts, including new rods, pistons, camshaft, lifters, etc. The carburetor, distributor, and driveline are original and have been rebuilt. Brake calipers and rotors are original and rebuilt/resurfaced. Water pump, master cylinder, and alternator, and u-joints are OEM replacements. Exhaust manifolds are OEM but not correct. The car was equipped with a CA emissions air injection smog pump which had been removed before I purchased the car. All ignition shielding is original and in place except for the spark plug shields. I have OEM spark plug shields, but they are not original, and are not installed at present. The suspension has been completely rebuilt using only OEM parts, including shocks, springs, bushings, etc. Tires are BF Goodrich TA radials, and are not correct.Body There are minor cracks in fiberglass around headlight bezel and front bumper and fender, and two big scratches on driver door. Car was repainted once with correct color before I purchased the car, due to minor damage to the right front fender. The car needs paint. Chrome is all original and in good condition. The convertible top was replaced 4 years ago and is OEM. Interior All gauges work except the clock and the odometer. The mileage reads ~91,203, and I estimate that the car has been driven another 1500 miles since the odometer quit working. The seat covers and carpet have been replaced with OEM materials (not reproduction). The carpet is faded. Door panels are original and driver’s side has a small crack in the vinyl armrest. The rear trunk area is in good condition, and includes the original jack and handle, storage bin, jack instructions sticker, etc. Two of the bezels on the 3 storage compartment lids are cracked, but intact. The battery is a sealed Delco replacement (not original design with the vented caps), and the cables are OEM replacements. All glass on the car is original.
