I purchased this AMC Hornet from the original owner at 63,351 miles. This is an all original car with a receipt in the glove box stating brake service in 1985 at 56,000 then you will see a sticker on the door for an oil change in 1997 at 63,000 miles it was last registered in 2003 and was not driven for 10 years before I bought it. List of thing I did: flushed the fuel tank, rebuilt the carb, new rubber fuel lines, fuel filter and air filter and a new fuel pump Had the radiator boiled rodded and replaced the water pump, hoses and thermostat New power steering pump and all new belts Starter, starter solenoid, battery, battery cables and cable from solenoid to starter and ignition module Spark plugs, plug wires, distributer cap, and ignition coil Brake calipers, master cylinder and brake hoses 4 new tires Paint with new AMX decals back in their original location and pin stripes The car was missing 2 hub caps so I got a matched set from an AMC Concord the original 2 hubcaps will come with the car Also the original front air dam and fender flares will come with the car however they are not in the best of shape so I chose not to put them back on. The interior is all original and in very good shape for a car of this age with the exception of the passengers visor bracket is broke but the visor is in great shape and comes with the car All lights, blinkers, horn, gauges, and original radio and speakers in working order. ( the clock is the only gauge that does not work) This is a factory AC car and all components are present and hooked up but it needs serviced. Spare tire, jack and original tire cover are in place This car is a pleasure to drive, quite, smooth and handles well. The steering is effortless and the disc brakes stop the car well. I have been using it as my daily driver to work and back since all the above mentioned work has been completed 32 mile daily round trip with no issues. I purchased the car with 63,351 miles and it now has 65,669 original miles. There are only about 167 of these on the AMC registry so if your looking for an all original classic then maybe you found it. This spent its life in a small neighborhood in California and is a straight all original rust free car and for what its worth will come with the original California blue plates.
