This 1974 Saab Sonnet III has been in the family for years. It has a well running 1.5 liter V-4 engine with an aftermarket fuel regulator, K&N carburetor, and plenty of power to spare. Please see the engine video links below. Unlike many Sonnets, this one is registered, reliable, and in running, drivable condition. The engine and drive train are in good working condition. See the videos below. Drive Train: Good working condition. One minor issue is that 4th gear is stiff going into gear. But all gears function and remain in gear, and it's easily drivable. The shift linkage will require some adjustment on the reverse detent. Body Mechanical: Adjusters on the rear brakes are frozen, and will likely need replacement. However, the brakes are functional on all four wheels. In addition, the parking brake needs adjustment to be effective, or this may be due to the adjusters. Gasoline tends to evaporate over a few days, but does not leak into the cabin. Pop-up lights work properly. Paint: Good condition. Original factory color. Body: Fair. There is one obvious body work spot at the front edge of the driver side door. Also some minor rust on the driver side kick panel. There are a few minor body chips. There is at least one area over the left rear fender where a slight crack in the body is visible. All shown in pictures. Interior: Rough, except for brand new upholstery on the seats, with original stitching pattern preserved. All windows and doors are functional. Driver's side door lock is finicky. Rear hatch needs a new hydraulic. Electrical: Basic functionality only. Everything needed to legally operate the vehicle is functional. Anything beyond that will require work. Odometer works occasionally, so indicated 94,051 miles is not actual. Original AM/FM radio is included, but the condition is unknown. Other: Spare tire included. Right rear tire has a very slow leak, but can still be driven on. Kill switch installed by previous owner - located between seats. This is a perfect project/restoration car that you drive now!
