If you’re looking at this auction then you know exactly what this is. No need to go into extensive details as to what this car is or isn’t, and the specifications. The car is a two adult-owner, daily driver. in it's lifetime. It has been very well maintained by the previous owner and me. I bought the car from the original owner and drove it home and the car runs great. I wanted a fun daily driving experience that a lot of the cars today simply do not provide inexpensively. If you're looking at this auction then you're probably like an “involved driving” experience that the SVT Contour offers. Every time I drive the car I have a smile on my face. I also like the rarity of the SVT Contour. After owning it for about a year, I need more room and have to move on. This SVT Contour is such a nice example that I would like it to go to an enthusiast while the mileage is still low. If it doesn’t sell, I will probably keep it until the wheels fall off. The only “mod” I have added to the car is quality tinted windows a few months ago. The front bumper has never even been drilled for the license plate mount (which I have). The car will come with a few extra parts as well. I have a brand new in box set of SVT Contour calipers front and rear as well as front and rear rotors ($1,000 worth of parts there alone). The car does not need brakes or rotors at all, it’s just nice to have an extra set. Also, a set of OEM SVT Contour front and rear struts that were take offs from a 2000 SVT Contour with 5,000 miles. Again, just extra parts. The suspension is fine on the car. A lot of maintenance records available. Also, I have all the original keys, remotes, and owner’s manuals. The tires are nice and have plenty of life on them and do not need to be replaced anytime soon. The car had a recent oil change and all fluids are topped off. New air filters as well. No check engine lights, no smoking from the tail pipe, no oil burning, and no leaks. The car is far better than you could expect for a 16 year old daily driver. I am confident the car can be driven anywhere. Fly in, drive it home. See if you can hit the 149-150mph the car has been known to do. Just saying.
