Vehicle Detail

You won't find many cars for sale like this. I was 16 years old when my mom gave the car to me. It was time for her to buy a new Vette so she asked if I wanted her old one. She is now 85 and still drives Vette's. Her daily driver is a 50th Anniversary Vette. I am now 56 so I have owned it for 40 years. For the last 40 year I have driven the car around the block a couple of times each year to keep it fresh. That is only around 80 miles in 40 years. Every time I drive it I am amazed at how well it runs. When leaded gas went away I started using additives and stabilizer to treat the gas. It has always been in my garage under a cover. The only damage to the car in all these years is a small scratch on the lower front wheel well, some pits in the chrome, some dry weather stripping, thats it. The interior is older looking, could use some TLC. The 40k milage is my best guess. The speedo cable cherped so it was detached years ago. The wonderbar radio and clock are probebly working, I just never tried to use them. The convertable top has been in it's compartment for 50 years. The removable hardtop is perfect. Looks like new except for the front weather stripping is dry. All the rubber, glass, paint, headliner etc....look new. I have always stored the top off the car. I'm tall and like it better with the top off. I have done all the maintanence with top corvette people through the years. Radiator cleaning, tune ups, oil change, gas tank cleaning, Years ago I had a whole new exahust system put on just like the factory system. Many years ago I had the original hubcaps stollen along with the airfilter. I replaced the hubcaps with 60's Vette trim rings. I like the look. The paint is the original factory blue color and as you can see its beautiful. This car drives great..... as it always has. It's the 283V8 with a powerglide transmission. I hate to sell it but my kids are grown and my wife and I are sizing down.
