Vehicle Detail

*** Recent update on the Bullitt 4/4/2014: I have had many calls about this car. The Vortech charger has only been on for between 5 and 10K miles. I called Ford Racing before installing to find out if a 50K mile car would do O.K. with the HP/TQ I was planning on. Their comment was: "we sell a kit that makes that same hp/tq (550/500) in our roots style 'Ford Racing' blower. It makes more torque at a lower RPM which is harder on the engine and we see no problems with those cars going well over 100K miles". I have had "0" problems. *** Apparently the Bullitt is being considered as a "collectible" by a major enthusiast group. See the IMBOC website. *** I recently had a buyer do the buy it now without paying. Please only make an offer if you are serious. If you have any questions at all, please email me or call my cell at 906-370-8680. No telemarketers, please! ***Please note that this car has a clear title with no accidents. The previous owner never checked the box stating the mileage, so when I bought the car in WI and switched it to Michigan, the title says "actual mileage unknown". This is no big issue. Ford Motor Company honored the powertrain warranty(BTW no warranty claims by me in the 18K miles I have put on the car) and the carfax shows the correct progression of miles. Bid with confidence. This is a great car with NO known issues. If you are unfamiliar with the Mustang Bullitt. Here are some facts and differences from a standard Mustang GT Premium. All Bullitts have these differences.- same axle as the GT500KR. 3.73 ratio with carbon clutch discs. I replaced mine with a NEW powder coated 4.10 axle with the same specs. New Royal Purple fluid.- same seats as the GT500 without the "Shelby" stitching. Meaning better padding and support.- different shocks/struts. As good as these are, the basically new Tokico adjustables are far superior in ride comfort and handling.- different springs that keep the Bullitt 1/2" lower than the GT. I replaced these with Ford Racing "P" springs which make the car 1" lower than a GT. - different shift knob, same shifter as GT. Replaced with the excellent MGW shifter. Infinitely superior in throw and smoothness. Never miss 3rd again. Not as hard and notchy as the Hurst. Adjustable as well. Made in U.S.A.- unique cold air intake and PCM tune making 315 HP and 325 TQ. This was replaced with the Vortech making 570 HP and 500 TQ. Which is derived from the dyno tune of 426 rear wheel torque and 488 rear wheel horsepower. - unique wheels. I needed to swap these as they were not wide enough to handle the 285s on the rear. The Nitto 555 Extreme 285/255 combo is the same stagger as the GT500. The Nittos are better (stickier, quieter) than the F1 supercar tires found on the GT500.- unique badging. Very cool. Satin finish. - unique color. The only Mustangs with the dark highland green are the 2008/09 and the 2001. Of course there is also Steve McQueen's 1968 dhg mustang that started this whole thing!- unique dash with turned aluminum finish. - unique steering wheel.- Bullitt door sills.- unique grille. I sold this in favor of the fog light grille. This was done so I could see better at night on the rural roads near my home.- unique axle back (mufflers). I changed these because I believed them too restrictive. They are the "Ford Racing" you see new and used on Ebay. The Borla touring axle backs, in most Bullitt circles, are considered a nicer sound. I agree. Here are the stats. Please call me at 906-370-8680 if you have any questions. No telemarketers, please. 570 HP, 500 TQ = 488RWHP, 426RWTQ. Safe dyno tune by Brenspeed. Their phone is 574-594-9559. No rattles, squeaks, vibration. Dyno'd for safe HP at 91 octane. Most mods less than a year old. Why am I selling? Quite frankly, I have another Mustang GT and do not have the room to store this car. It is garaged now and I only took it out to photograph it. I am 58 years old and have never put slicks on this car. Love driving it through the curves, especially with the torque and acceleration. Handling is really good and is adjustable with the Tokicos which you can go from very soft to very firm. One of the reasons for the mods is that it is a stress reliever for me. This is the 3rd s197 Mustang I have owned and definitely the best. I have a 2011 and will likely do some mods to it next summer. The 2005 - 2014 Mustang GTs all have the same chassis and rear axles. Very similar cars. The HP generated by this car is very safe, especially with a Vortech which builds HP more evenly much like a big block engine of yesterday. Feel free to contact Brent White at Brenspeed for his professional opinion. His staff reviewed the work I did when I took it there for the dyno tune. They said it looked and ran fine. The kit was from Brenspeed. Check their website for this kit which is the HO V3 intercooled kit. Full acceleration in gears 1-3 will can cause wheelspin of the 285s on the rear once you exceed 3,000 rpm. Look at the dyno chart and you will see this engine has more hp and torque than a Boss 302 and at lower rpms! I would rate the cosmetics (paint and interior) as an 8.5-9.0 out of ten. Some scratches in the clear coat, a very tine ding in the passenger's door which you cannot see on the photos, but is there. Likely easily fixed by a "ding doctor". The driver's seat has some wear on the left side which is not structural, but is faded. Buy with confidence. This is a very good car. I did most of the mods last summer. Sct tuner is included. No accidents or paint work. Faster/better handling and gas mileage than the heavy GT500. No rust, never driven in the winter. Most options including factory HIDs. Shaker 500. ONLY reason I am selling is that I also have a 2011 GT. I cannot keep both. This car is DONE. Does not ride hard, but you can harden up the ride by adjusting the shocks/struts with the adjustment tool. Handles excellent. Over $12,000 invested in mods.Cosmetics: - Grille with hid fog lights. - GT500 polished wheels with TPMS($1,200). - Honeycomb decklid panel($130). - New window louvers from American Muscle($200). - GT500 spoiler($200). Mechanical:- Vortech SC kit from Brenspeed with new Ford Racing intercooler pump. Blower has about 10-12K miles on it and is less than 2 years old. Works perfect, no noise, etc. This is the V3 HO kit and has its own oil pan. Oil is easy to change. ($5,300)- Pypes headers with 5K miles, Pypes high flow cats and Pypes H pipe. ($1,000) - JLT catch can ($120)- Borla Touring axle backs($370). - MBRP resonators ending in Borla touring axle backs. Very deep, muted sound. NOT LOUD. ($200)- Stock trans and clutch. Not slipping as the Vortech builds power gradually and smoothly. - MGW shifter with running pony ball($350). Never miss 3rd! Possibly the best shifter. - BRAND NEW 4.10 gears, clutchs, bearings, axle($850). Powder coated. Not even 500 miles. - Shaftmasters aluminum driveshaft with safety loop($630 + $100). - Tokico adjustable shocks/struts w/adjustment key, GT500 mounts, P springs($1,000).- Saleen front antisway bar, Steeda rear bar. Steeda adjustable front end links($400). - Whiteline relocation brackets($120) - J&M adjustable panhard bar and lower control arms($220). - Moog Problem solver ball joints($445 installed). - Hood struts. ($75)- Chrome plated and polished wheels with Nitto Extreme 555, 285 rear and 255 front. TPMS installed. Unique running pony center caps from Cobra wheels. Nittos: $900. This car is sold "as is". With no warranty implied at all. Thanks for looking and feel free to contact me or make an offer. I take my 100% feedback seriously, so please contact me with any questions, concerns, etc. Before making an offer if you are unsure. I have a few parts left (exhaust manifolds, etc.), but most have been sold or given away.
