Vehicle Detail
this is a running and driving elcamino i drove this car/truck for 2 hours the other day and it drove fine.this is an excellant candidate for a rolling restoration.the body is pretty rust free for an elcamino but it does have its issues.the floor pans are solid in the front behind the seat there the is rust through but is not a very hard fix because most of it is still in tact.the firewall and radiator frame is perfect which on these cars is ussually rusted bad.the front floors are solid as a rock (this is a southern car)the front fenders are very nice with the exception of some surface rust.the doors are rust free as well as the rockers.the bed is nice with minimal rust no rust through.this was a vynal top car at one time but someone in the past removed and painted it so the windshield channels are visibly clean the glass is all nice with no cracks.the intiorior is drver quality and all fuctions work(meaning lights blinkers, horn and heater and dash lights)the front bumper is in good shape but the grill has the bottom filler piece missing blinker lenses are perfect.the motor is a 350 and i have no idea if its original or not has long tube headers and a holly 4bbl. it also has an hei distributer.the trans. is a 700r4 and it functions well it shifts though all the gears.i personally think the 68-72 elcos are the best and most sought after this is a very restorable project with the hard to find or expensive parts in good shape.you could easily drive it while you worked on it.the back tires are new the fronts are ok the old school rims in pretty good shape also.
